Very Modern Private Little Romantic Hideaway!

5 of 5
We needed a place to stay at the last minute and this little hideaway was available. I was a bit taken back by the description as "shack", but the availability and price were right. What a nice surprise to find this little "cabin", as I prefer, to be very new and modern. It's just the right size for two with your carry on bags. I agree, larger luggage would be a challenge for this square footage. The cabin was very cozy and quiet being up on a hill at the rear of the main house. The view from the lanai, through the lush trees, is lovely. The photograph does not do it justice. There is no air conditioner and it is not needed. The cabin is fully shaded under the trees and there is a ceiling fan, but the breezes through the open & screened windows was more than enough to control the temperature for comfort. I enjoyed the large size of the shower; it's built for two. Yes they have WiFi. Getting to the cabin was easy. There are only two things I would note as being a bit of a challenge. Leaving your designated parking space. You must back into a neighboring driveway to get yourself facing back down the one lane roadway. We kept going up the hill to do this, but then we were directed to back down the hill to the closest driveway for getting turned around. The other thing that seemed odd was the connecting wall between the bathroom and the kitchen did not go all the way to the ceiling. There was about a 24 inch space that was open not allowing for full bathroom privacy. However, I have seen this in other little private places were have stayed so it's not uncommon. I give this rental a 5 star rating for it's value as compared to the amenities. I highly recommend this delightful "...little shack under a tree" if you would like a real taste of Hawaii Life. If you want a private romantic hideaway for two or maybe just a cozy quiet place for one; contact the very friendly owners Dan and Ellie.
