                      Enjoyable stay!

                      4 of 5
We rented this house for eight days with three generations of our family staying here for our daughter's wedding. The house was very nice and the location, pool, patio and beach were fantastic. We had a great time and very much enjoyed our stay. Although the house has great physical features, there are some drawbacks. Most notably, the house is not well maintained and is not air conditioned except for the bedrooms. This greatly impacts the home's potential. As examples, there were numerous light fixtures/bulbs and switches that didn't work or were rusted out, the ice maker in the refrigerator only produced about three trays of ice the whole week, and the automatic fill on the pool wasn't working so water flowed into the front yard. We made several calls to the property manager on various things that weren't working and he seemed to be familiar with the issues and what we might do to temporarily resolve them. For those with small children, the house is not equipped for babies or little ones needing cribs or highchairs. This equipment is available on the island for rent but does not come with the house. For older children, there are plenty of pool and beach toys and even a kayak for the ocean. The kitchen is well equipped and the window that opens to the pool is a great feature that adds to the terrific pool area. This could be a five star house and should be for the price. Attention to maintenance and care would make this a fabulous rental home for a large family vacation. Although we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the pool and beach, the lack of maintenance and air conditioning have taken a toll on the house which was disappointing.

                      Perfect Beach Vacation Spot

                      5 of 5
Having rented from Ania during the past several winters, we have previously stayed in every one of her rental studios on the property. All rooms are clean and well-appointed, and tastefully and whimsically decorated with this artist/sculptress's beautiful artwork. If something is lacking, broken or missing, she has always promptly found a suitable replacement. She is always ready to go out of her way to make our stay enjoyable and to accommodate our needs. One of the world's finest beaches is a block away where one can swim, snorkel, windsurf, kayak or go for long walks (the beach is 2.5 miles long). Morning coffee, newspapers and sundries can be purchased at the quaint little market across the street. Kailua is also perfect for biking or hiking, and many good restaurants are located in town, less than a mile away. The location is perfect, and we could not have found a more charming couple to host us: an accomplished artist and her husband, a published novelist.

                      spectacular!

The beach itself and the villa was absolutely perfect! The manager made sure we were comfortable and well looked after at all times. The villa was more than complete with everything possible! Very comfortable mattress too, I must say. The island was enjoyable but maybe not as much as Maui.
