                      Cute cottage!

                      4 of 5
This is a cute little cottage just across Highway 30 from Kaanapali Beach. It has good facilities, well-stocked kitchen, laundry room bigger than the one I have at home, glass jalousies on the windows (I'm from the Philippines and my parents' home had the same kind of windows; brought back memories). Nice shower. My husband and I and our three almost grown up children were quite comfortable. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that it does have some deferred maintenance issues, as a previous review mentioned. These issues don't interfere with the functionality of the cottage, but do detract a bit from its charm. Another issue is that we went in August, when it got quite warm and the cottage has no airconditioning or drapes to shield us from the sun. But when you open all the windows, the cottage usually cooled down nicely with all the winds. And you could always jump in the pool or the ocean to cool off. We enjoyed the sunsets that you could watch from the windows and the beautiful trees and flowers all around us. Take my advice, when you get there, check into the cottage first and see what condiments and other supplies there might already be in the kitchen before you go out grocery shopping. It might already have what you need. Down at the corner of Highway 30 (you can walk there) is a shaved ice place and The Shark Pit, where you can get some really good (creative) sandwiches. All in all, this cottage is a good deal for your money and you won't regret renting it.

                      Lovely, Well-Equipped Cottage

                      4 of 5
This cottage was lovely and had all the amenities... Grill, clothes washer and dryer, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs and towels, tv, and stereo. The owners were quick to respond and extremely helpful. They answered several questions about restaurants and places to shop and sites to see. The price was great. The only slight drawback was we were further from the beach than we thought. It is only a three-minute walk, but across a busy street and the ocean is not visible or audible from the cottage at all. As long as you are clear about the beach proximity, this is a fabulous deal.

                      Highly Recommended

                      5 of 5
I gave 5 stars for all the accuracy, but, the photos and description were good, but the house/property was great! Better than they described!! The house is much bigger than it looks in the pictures. There's no ac, but the breeze is perfect, and there are so many fans - it was never too hot - you truly feel like you are in paradise! It's a short walk across the road to a great beach in Maui. They have all kinds of toys and extra sheets, etc. for the couches/beds. Plenty of space for a large family. We had grandparents and a 2 year old with us and it exceeded everyone's expectation. Thank you for a great stay!
