A Piece of Paradise

5 of 5
We were looking for a place that was away from the noise, traffic and hustle of Waikiki yet centralized enough for easy access to all Oahu has to offer. This location was ideal. Situated in a neighboorhood at the end of a street, the cottage is well appointed, clean, comfortable and had all the necessary amenities, including use of a washer/dryer. The lovely lanai turned out to be our favorite spot where we had a relaxing cup of coffee every morning to plan out our day. As for our hosts, Jose and Joanne could not have been more accommodating or gracious. MAHALO!

Peaceful studio out of the presure of Waikiki

5 of 5
We had a lovely 8 nights here at the end of January. Everything was in order, very clean and well maintained. Parking was easy, you probably want a rental car to get in and out and take advantage of the ease of access to the island with out the congestion of the Waikiki tourist scene. It's back in Paololo Valley, in a small sub-valley with a stream and about 8 other houses all energy efficient. There's lots of greenery and indeed breezes blowing in the trees and cooling at night, the songs of birds to wake to. It's cozy, with a platform bed with windows on 2 sides, a fold down futon, a kitchen and a nice bathroom. We would make breakfast there each morning. We shopped at the local market and a near by Whole Foods or went out to dinner in Kaimuki at some very fine restaurants. The beaches on the east end were available in about 20 minutes. Hawaii Kai also had some nice places to eat. The hosts: Mary and Cliff were never in our way and yet if we called, were always attentive and helpful. If you would like to visit Hawaii and have your own space, this is an excellent choice.

Just as advertised, clean, comfortable, great spot

4 of 5
The place was well maintained, clean and very conveniently located with excellent bus service and an easy walk down to Ala Moana Beach. The owner was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Earlier reviews mentioned noise from the busy street but that was not really a problem for us. We did not use or need A/C very much, but if you want it on at night rig up a deflector so it doesn't blow directly on the bed. We will certainly contact Joe if we come to Honolulu again.
