4 days in Paradise

5 of 5
Stayed at this incredible place for 4 days with my 74 year old parents, my wife, sister and brother-in-law and their 2 kids, ages 11 and 9. The kids were asleep when they came in at night, but it was worth it just to see the looks on their faces in the morning when the sun came up and they looked out the window...precious! In fact, we all carried the same look on our faces as we walked from room to room enjoying the design, the layout, the construction which all works together to help you derive maximum enjoyment of the surroundings. On a private road with lots of houses - once you pass through the gates at the falls you are isolated from the rest of the world as the rain forest engulfs you. It's so loud at night! The waterfall sounds like rainstorm and the birds at night...! It turns out there are no birds at night! Those are frogs pretending to be birds! My wife needs silence to sleep at night, but she slept like a baby here. These are the sounds that we are meant to hear as we sleep. Jack and Jane - thank you so much for sharing your private paradise with us! If I owned such a house I would have a hard time renting it out to strangers....so thank you for this wonderful gift!

Just Amazing!

5 of 5
Even though we came with threat of Hurricane Iselle lurking in the Atlantic - we do not regret one second of choosing to stay in Hilo and especially at this amazing bungalow. Sherron and David were so very helpful and gracious to us despite the weather and the fact that they prepared for the hurricane - as they should have - it was still amazing surroundings. The gardens were so beautiful. We will definitely be back one day to visit again. I loved The Big Island more than I expected and I cannot wait to return when things are normal and the parks are open! Our trip may have been altered to some degree but it was by no means ruined.

Peaceful getaway with top notch hospitality

5 of 5
Without exaggeration, this is an awesome place to stay! If you are looking for a peaceful, laid back environment that has all the comforts of home for a more than reasonable price, your search should stop right here. Randall and Donna are exactly what you want in a property owner/manager. They are there when you need them with a vast knowledge of Island info, yet they are incredibly respectful of your privacy. Donna gave us a bunch of Apple Bananas that were just to die for and Randall was very patient in answering all of our questions and understanding our constant mispronounced Hawaiian names. The suite was clean, sleek, homey and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The grounds are beautiful and very well manicured. My only regret is that I wish that I would've brought a frisbee! We would not hesitate to come back and stay with Randall and Donna! Diane and I feel as though we made new friends while here! You will too! Kevin and Diane Springfield, MO
