                  Top Notch Rental experience.

                  5 of 5
Could not have been more pleased with our rental accommodations. Excellent value for the dollar.Well stocked and charming cottage. Lacking nothing. Great location. Immaculately clean. Jennifer and Jeff were great hosts. Attentive when you might have a question; but respected your privacy. Our best lodging experience while visiting the Islands...........

                  Perfect!

                  5 of 5
Are you a nature lover? Do you have plans to explore as much of the Big Island as you can? Do you hate paying a lot for accommodations when any good adventurer spends most of his/her time outdoors anyway? If you answered ‘Yes’ to one or more of these questions, this is the place for you! Ed is a great host and the cottage is a perfect little piece of home. We had everything we needed during our stay and fell in love with a number of new sights while traversing Kapa'au. Pololu Valley, King Kamehameha’s Fish Pond, and lovely ‘Main Street’ Hawi are all within a 5-10 minute drive. Takata grocery store and Gill’s Lanai are two charming, convenient stops for toiletries or a bite to eat. We have stayed in Kona in the past and, while it is wonderful, you miss out on the incredible variety and awe-inspiring views of staying in Kohala. Our morning drives out and our evening drives back to Kapa'au were some of the most scenic moments of our vacation and we saw countless beautiful sunrises, rainbows, and sunsets this way. I would recommend this cottage to anyone searching for a comfortable home base for a Hawaiian getaway. From Kona, to Hilo, to the top of Mauna Kea, you can get anywhere without driving too far and you can relax without the hustle-and-bustle of a hotel atmosphere. We have many great memories of our stay and would certainly return here for a future trip to the Big Island.

                  Oasis on the Big Island

                  5 of 5
This place is amazing. The pictures do it some justice as they were what attracted us to book it in the first place! The attention to detail in the craftsmanship is evident throughout. Someone (Kerstin) showed this place some love when they were creating it and we were glad that they have chosen to share it. It was a great hub on the north side of the island for our explorations. We stayed a week here and then a week at the Marriott Waikoloa for this, our first trip to the Big Island. If I were to do it again, I would have tacked on another few days to the trip and stayed a night in Volcanos NP area, and perhaps a couple nights in Kona so as to break up the travel to the southernmost parts of the island. But for rest and relaxation, this place couldn't be beat. Extremely comfortable and had just about all you could ask for in a place away from home. Kerstin communicated with us before and after our arrival. She met us at the property, showed us around a bit, and gave us some great information on local happenings (also there was plenty of literature at the place to peruse for local excursions/sights). I would definitely stay in this place again and will be recommending it to family and friends. Mahalo Kerstin.
