One day home and ready to go back!

5 of 5
Thank you so very much to the owners of Kawika's Hill and Karen for the most wonderful stay in Hana, ever! What a peaceful paradise! This home is unmatched and we can't wait to return. KH was impeccably clean and perfectly stocked. We so enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and lingering on the huge wrap around patio. The hot tub was perfect and the outdoor shower was such a treat! Very comfortable beds. I think one of my most favorite parts was waking up in the morning to glorious views and the beautiful rain. One morning I was taking a shower and looked out the window to see 7 or so beautiful cattle right on the mountain behind of us! Very unique and quiet - it took us about 12 minutes to drive into Hana and all the area attractions were very accessible. This property will exceed your expectations!

Great House

5 of 5
The Hale Heavenly Hana was a wonderful place to spend the last three days of our vacation. We have stayed out in Hana before and always find it peaceful and staying out in a house with 8 acres to ourselves made it even more peaceful. Loved the kitchen with the great selection of spices. Everything was accessible and easy to use. Our favorite feature of the house would have to be the outdoor shower. We felt right at home and would recommend this property to anyone. We only cooked dinner once as there was a place across the street that sold wood fired clay oven pizza every Friday and Saturday night. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Alana and Colin

Charming house in special setting

5 of 5
We had a family get together (parents, 4 adult children, two partners and one baby, not yet walking). We took both levels, and this was more than enough space for all of us. We cooked upstairs and all sat at the table there by adding a couple more chairs. The photos do not do justice to the size of the rooms. We found the bedroom on the balcony upstairs to be the best! We viewed the trees, the sky and the stars from there. It was clean and pleasant, and in a great location for hiking the Pipiwai trail and boogie boarding at Hamoa beach. It is off the beaten path, but then, that is what my kids are used to. That's part of the charm. There were insects but most stayed outside. The ones that did get in (mostly I believe it was because we left a light on in the bathroom the first night), we managed to ignore. This is not a place for people with a strong aversion to or phobia of bugs. But for us, this was much less of an issue than I expected. There are resident spider webs outside, so just pay attention when walking between the trees. We found the washing machine and dryer in a separate building closer to the main road. I enjoyed my correspondence with the owner, who was easily available, patient, and helpful. Though we did not need anything (except in finding the laundry facility), we did meet the pleasant person who takes care of the property, and it was good to know he was around. If we are fortunate to come again, we would be happy to stay here.
