Garden House Hideaway

5 of 5
This lovely little cottage was the last of the 5 rentals on the Big Island.. and possibly, the Best! Completely off the grid and self sustaining. Quiet, peaceful and with beautiful ocean views. Mary is the ultimate host and the dogs and cat also make you feel right at Home. This is a great place to stay and experience the beautiful Hamakua coast, from Waipio to Hilo to the Mauna Kea Observatory, it is all easily accessible. Thank you so much Mary for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

Wonderful inland stay

5 of 5
We wanted to try staying somewhere inland for the first time and we loved it. The cottage was comfortable and we loved feeding the pig. Such a lovely place. We walked a short distance up the road and visited the Hawaiian Vanilla Company (great vanilla shakes). We went to Honoka'a several times. Such a darling town. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. My husband and I loved it.

Quiet, comfortable, secluded, get away spot.

4 of 5
Received a warm welcome from the interesting, and famous, folks who own the property. The house was very clean, the bedroom very comfortable. Our stay was delightful and relaxing. We hope to return.
