The description was accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities. The property was clean and well maintained. The owner had Great Customer Service. I have recommended this property to many people since I returned home. It was so cozy and comfortable. It was bigger than I thought. It was close to the Kahului Airport and Harley Davidson. We went to the Foodland in Pukalani. I recommend Mamas fish House in quaint Paia. We drove to Haleakala National Park for Sunrise. We took the road to Hana. We ate dinner at the Hai'imaile General Store, incredible food. In Makaweo Town we had dinner at Cassanovas Italian Restaurant, drinks at Makewao Steak House with incredible bar tender Julie. We picked up some groceries at Rodeo General Store. We visited Alii Kula Lavender and Ulupalakua Ranch Winery. We snorkeled to Molikini Crater out of Maalaea Harbor and ate lunch on the rooftop of Mick Fleetwood's Restaurant. We loved the seclusion and starlit nights. Wonderful breezes. We felt so safe and cozy. The house was bigger than I thought. I loved the ceiling fan in the living room and the oscilating fan in the bedroom. There were plenty of extra clean sheets, towels and blankets. It was wonderful having wi-fi and cable, even though we only watched tv for 30 minutes! The shower head, water temperature and pressure are wonderful. It was great having the grill and a kitchen with all of the plates, utensils and pots and pans. We used the washer and dryer and they worked great. It was nice having the laundry tub also. There was a double rainbow outside the door one afternoon! We felt at home and did not want to leave. Cheryl is a wonderful host. We hope to visit longer again sometime soon. Aloha/Mahalo.

We had stayed for a week in the central area and really hated leaving there but when we saw the Bamboo Valley Inn we were so delighted. We had an amazing stay. It was absolutely beautiful from the moment we drove down the driveway. Surrounded by a lush tropical forest, it made you feel you were really in Maui's rainforest! Although it only seemed to rain for about 5 minutes in the morning or evening. The birds were chirping all around, and it was fun watching Hank in the field with the chickens. The grounds and property were beautifully kept. Our nine year old loved the air hockey table! The pictures are totally accurate, as you walk in you just look around and say Wow! The apartment we had was equiped with everything we needed, beautifully decorated and furnished, local artwork on the walls, lovely fresh flowers to greet us and a great selection of treats for breakfast. The owners were just a call away if needed but totally respected your privacy. We travelled to see Haleakala's sunrise and the Hana highway from here, did some hikes, visited Paia, toured around the north shore area, saw a monk seal, watched windsurfers as well as traveled to the west and south coast for beaching and snorkeling. It is well situated to travel anywhere on Maui, especially if you don't want to stay in a busy, touristy resort type of accomodation and want to listen to the birds. We highly recommend the Bamboo Valley Inn and would love to stay here on our next visit to Maui.
