UPCOUNTRY SECLUSION

4 of 5
Our family of 5 (two adults and children 12,12,14) enjoyed the rustic seclusion and the accommodations of the cottage. It had all amenities we needed including washer and dryer (no charge). Local grocery is nearby and plenty of local eating establishments can be explored. No pool or AC but the breeze thru open windows made it comfortable and beaches are a short drive away. In fact, everything we wanted to do in the up country was within a short drive. The owner's son Mark (and family) stopped by and provided a background of the Cannery history and local places to see. There are several fruit trees on the property which we enjoyed. No TV? However, free Wifi was available so the kids and parents still stayed connected. One bathroom was a bit of a challenge but we worked thru it! Lots of space on the grounds to let the kids explore and expend energy. The cottage is a very good value if you desire a quiet retreat after a long day of sightseeing.

QUAINT UP COUNTRY ACCOMODATION

4 of 5
This was our first time to Hawaii and needless to say, we can't wait to book our next trip! Holly's Haiku cottage was a great little spot with all the amenities you'd expect from a "condo rental". It was very clean with all the linens, towels, beach towels, cleaning supplies, kitchen supplies and little nick nacks one might need in a pinch. We found the space larger than we anticipated and enjoyed many evenings lounging on the day beds. We were already planning on renting a car, so the distance from other fun towns (Lahaina, Kihei, Paia) wasn't a big deal for us. If you do plan to stay here, renting a car would be a must. But we found that we saw so much of Maui just driving around, so it was totally worth it. Our only disappointment with Holly's Cottage is that it is right on a main road to other parts of up country Maui and is VERY LOUD. I don't think either one of us had a GREAT sleep while we were there.

MAUI VACATION

5 of 5
This being our first visit to Maui & both being independant travellers/surfers/windsurfers, when looking for accomadatiion we needed a place that was close to the north shore & allowed us to come and go as we pleased. Not only this we also need somewhere quiet & relaxing after long days on Maui's awasome beaches & seeing some of its stunnig countryside. The Cottage provided this and more. Surrounded by stunnig tropical garden plants that fill the air with a fragrance better than any perfume you'll ever buy,in a location that overlooks woodland, pineapple fields & Hookipa bay in the diatance,a breathtaking view as you sip coffee or juice in the morning, one you just have to see!!.The inside of the cottage wont disapoint either, buit in a traditional style with stunning wood floors & high vaulted ceilings, beautiful furniture & just about everything you have in your house Hank & Barbra have provided in the Cottage for your vacation, they realy have thought of everything. We were lucky enough to spend our time not just windsurfing & surfing but travelled the length & bredth of Maui discovering the island for ourselves places no tour would ever take you & also checked out a few of the so called exclusive places, hotels & acomadatoin on the south of the island (the ones you'll see in the brochure's) The Hookipa Bay View beats them all, here you'll have it all to yourself. Just spend a week or two & check this place out you'll be hooked for life. We'll be back for sure & it takes a day or more for us to travel there from the UK. Best Wishes Hank & Barbera Many thanks once again Vince & Christine
