Such a Peaceful Setting!

5 of 5
This Meadow Cottage was perfect for the grandparents, children, and grandchildren. The toddlers loved roaming the beautiful lawns and examining the colorful Hawaiian flowers. The cottage itself was well appointed and decorated so beautifully. We loved being a part of Maui history on this property. It was nice to be close to the hustle and bustle of Paia, but staying in the quiet of Haiku. Great bike shop in Paia and the keiki beach was perfect. Mark and Aly were very responsive and it was so great to meet Benni. The Road to Hana was easy to get to and a trip to Haleakala was quite accessible as well.

A hawaiian cabin in the jungle.

4 of 5
The house is the perfect size for 1-2 guests. Entering the home, there's a great sitting area, small hallway to the kitchen and back porch, and large bedroom off to the right. Never wanted for anything during my stay, the kitchen has all you need, the closets are well stocked. Invest in a few $3 citronella candles, for the back porch at night. The TV didn't work when I was there, but I didn't need or want to watch it. The shower takes a little bit to warm up, and is cold at the start. Keep in mind, that's maui cold - not Minnesota in winter cold. You won't be staying at the Ritz, but this place has everything you need for your stay. Perfectly situated in Haiku town, walkable to all of the amenities offered in Haiku. You can be at the beach in 5-10 minutes driving. Overall, a great place - really special and felt like I was in a jungle cabin everynight.

Perfect summer at Holly’s Haiku Cottage

5 of 5
It was our 2nd time at the North Shore and we love Haiku as a base to explore this beautiful island. This house was perfect for us and we enjoyed it so much. It felt like we were living on Maui. Holly’s cottage offers everything you need and a lot more. It was spacious, very clean and very well equipped with everything (linen, towels, cooler, kitchen utilities, washing machine, dryer). It has a cute hidden parking space, a nice garden with a lot of fruits. The huge lanai was great to rest, having a barbeque and enjoying this beautiful ocean view. We also loved those day beds, where we enjoyed resting after a long day at the beach. The bed was very comfortable, we had a deep sleep and the neighborhood was very quiet there at least during our stay in Haiku. The traffic at the main road did not bother us at all. Since we also came for some windsurfing fun on the island, we were thankful for the storage space under the house. Holly did a great job decorating the house with all those little tasteful tropical details. It looks even better than on the picture. Holly was a great landlord, she even let us check in a day later since we had a cancelled flight at SFO and a layover there. The house is close (5 min walk) to Haiku grocery store, some restaurants and post office. You have a very short drive to Ho’okipa and Paia. It’s so close to the Road of Hana where you start your exploring trips either way. We loved it there and would love to come back as soon as possible. Maholo for everything to Holly.
