Utter perfection

5 of 5
My overall impression of this rental is that it's pretty close to absolute perfection. The property itself was immaculate with modern furnishings, one bedroom plus a huge comfy sofa bed in the living area. There were some nice touches like providing lots of towels, plus bin bags, toilet rolls and cleaning products to start us off! There was also a brand new BBQ, WIFI and laundry facilities. As great as this apartment is.....the location and view were 5*. Whilst standing on the front porch you have views of rockpiles, off the wall and pipeline. I was visiting Oahu to watch the Pipeline surfing masters and the location couldn't have been better. I would highly recommend!!

The house was more than we expected.

We have travelled to the North Shore before and this was the best home and location we've seen. It was perfect for us, two couples. Everyone still had their own privacy. It would be great for a family as well. The house was completely stocked with everything needed for an enjoyable vacation. Only one drawback -no safe. We have mentioned that to Rai and she open to the idea. The yard was amazing -private but still right on the beach. We can't say enough about the view. We sat on the deck and watched the whales rolling and playing in the water and the surfers tackling the waves. We felt at home and treated it like our own. We made friends with one of the neighbours who was very informative about the places of interest and his favourite local restaurants. He told us about the hiking trails and local craft/farmers' markets. We were made to feel welcome by all the locals. The local amenities were within walking distance -Foodland, Ted's Bakery, Sharks Cove, Waimea Valley. We appreciated working with Rai. She responded to all our inquiries promptly and answered all questions truthfully. She was very good to work with. We want to return to the north shore sometime in the future and hope that this home is available then. Linda & Walter, Bev & Rick

Heidi & Chris Lessick ~ Oregon City, Oregon

We had the most amazing time here! The lodge was the greatest place to come home to after our sight seeing adventures during the day. The view from the upper deck was the best! We hope to make it back sometime in the future. Everything was so wonderful about this location~ a short walk to the beach, short bike ride (thanks for providing the bikes and snorkel gear, Meleana!) or drive to Shark's Cove snorkeling beach and FOOD carts! We loved the cart at the bottom of the road leading to the lodge that sells acai berry bowls, yum! The farmers market on Saturdays at Sunset Grade School (right next door!) and the Thursday Waimea Valley Farmer's Market (10 minute drive) are not to be missed. We felt very much a part of the community on this trip and enjoyed being part of the north shore culture! Just 15 minutes east is the awesome town of Haleiwa known for it's shopping, shave ice, fishing, surfing and food carts. We loved the Beet Box Cafe which is located inside of the Celestial Natural Foods Store- which is awesome, too. Thanks to Meleana- we had fresh, awesome veggies and fruit to partake of during our stay from the farm located right below the lodge. If you are a health foodie, this is the place for you! On behalf of the 11 family members that stayed in the lodge for two weeks, we thank Meleana and the farm crew for an amazing stay.
