A piece of paradise

5 of 5
The farm is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Carol is a great hostess. The studio is cozy and comfortable and has everything you need. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, first aide kit, more than you can imagine. Plenty of towels and beach gear. Carol showed us all around the farm, pointing out the fruit trees and we could help ourselves. Then there's the fresh delicious Kona coffee too. We enjoyed walks most mornings down the road. If we make it back to the Big Island this is where we will stay. I know this review cannot do justice. If you chose this place you will not be disappointed.

An amazing home, in amazing surroundings!

5 of 5
We just returned from an amazing vacation at "The Blue Roof". An amazing home, in amazing surroundings this vacation home is a must see!! Hearing for whales in the morning and enjoying the most amazing sunsets at night, this house has something for everyone. A short drive away from the home is Hookena beach. Undoubtly one of the most amazing beach experiences ever. Whether swimming with dolphins, or exploring coral reefs this will be a beach day you will never forget. We highly recommend "The Blue Roof".

Oasis in paradise

5 of 5
Dave and Sally's home is an oasis in tropical paradise. The 3 bedrooms have large patio doors that let in cooling breezes, and lead out to the pool and hot tub, and lanai. These areas all look out to the Pacific Ocean. The view is 180 degrees, unobstructed. No other houses can be seen when you are on the lanai! Fantastic sunsets! While enjoying meals on the lanai, enjoy the view, the tropical birds, and the lush vegetation. The house is designed with natural air conditioning, with patio doors on both sides, to allow air flow. The back lanai has a fountain that the birds like, too. The kitchen is well stocked, the linens nice, and beds comfie. The house is well located for exploring Hawaii, and quite close to some really good snorkeling areas. This is our fourth Hawaiian island to visit, and the most diverse. From the observatories on Mauna Kea to the lava fields of Kileaua, the surfers to the coffee farms, the charm of Hawi and Hilo to the action at Kailua, great golfing options and beautiful botanical gardens, zip lines and boat cruises.....the Big Island has it all!
