A nice place to get away from everything

5 of 5
This place was the perfect little getaway for me and my girlfriend. We just wanted a nice place away from all the buzzing of downtown Hilo and this place fitted the bill. The owners are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. If we had any problems or questions they would help us the best way possible and were genuinely humble towards us. They also have this very friendly dog that my girl loved to play around with. This place wasn't to far from Hilo, a relatively short drive and it was also closer to Volcano so that was a plus. The room was very well kept and was very cozy, one of the nicer places I stayed for a weekend vacation honestly. The property itself is gorgeous and there was this huge lawn that, I would imagine, would be perfect for picnics and for kids to run and play around. There was a minor problem for us regarding the wifi though. My girlfriend's phone could connect but my iPhone had trouble finding it. Also the Netflix that was there to used had a hard time streaming. For us, these were such minor issues that we didn't bother asking the owners about it but it's something to keep in mind. For us though, this place met our needs perfectly and would definitely come stay here again if we ever plan on going to Hilo again.

Quiet week on the bay.

5 of 5
Beautifully built, very clean, fully screened and secure downstairs studio. Grounds were well kept and private to sit outside in the shade of the large wrap-around deck up and roof overhang. Very tastefully decorated inside and out. We never used the indoor shower, as the outdoor shower was so pleasant to use. Bed was very comfortable and we felt completely secure to leave all the doors open(screens only). The walk to the park/beach/bay was less than 5 minutes and the snorkeling was fantastic. Swimming with the spinner dolphins in the bay was an unforgettable experience. Very great place to relax!

Peaceful getaway with top notch hospitality

5 of 5
Without exaggeration, this is an awesome place to stay! If you are looking for a peaceful, laid back environment that has all the comforts of home for a more than reasonable price, your search should stop right here. Randall and Donna are exactly what you want in a property owner/manager. They are there when you need them with a vast knowledge of Island info, yet they are incredibly respectful of your privacy. Donna gave us a bunch of Apple Bananas that were just to die for and Randall was very patient in answering all of our questions and understanding our constant mispronounced Hawaiian names. The suite was clean, sleek, homey and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The grounds are beautiful and very well manicured. My only regret is that I wish that I would've brought a frisbee! We would not hesitate to come back and stay with Randall and Donna! Diane and I feel as though we made new friends while here! You will too! Kevin and Diane Springfield, MO
