Beautiful Peaceful Retreat

5 of 5
The friendly helpful owner and caretaker make this clean and well outfitted cottage a visitor's sanctuary. Furnished with attention to comfort and convenience. There is a full cooking kitchen (stock-up with provisions in Hilo before you arrive), a helpful area guidebook created by the owner, a dehumidifier that keeps you warm and dry, hooks, drawers and closets for storage, nice outdoor furniture to enjoy birdwatching, reading or just soaking up the rain forest surroundings. This cottage is conveniently located just miles from the entrance to Volcanos National Park so you can avoid some of the crowds and get there early for a morning hike or stop in after dark to admire the glow from Kilauea's crater. Wonderfully clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend!

Truly Paradise!

5 of 5
Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality and kindness! The decor and charm in this Cottage was so lovely and perfect. Compared to Oahu, this Island is truly PARADISE! We went snorkeling in the tidepools and it was the MOST beautiful experience EVER. I would love to come back one day, Thanks again so much!

Lots of Privacy and very Quaint

5 of 5
Stayed one night in January and loved it. The little electric heater and pot belly wood stove came in handy for a cool night and morning. The best thing about this house: IMHO its 2 items-the bathroom tub/shower and the openness of the cabin to the beautiful tropical scenery thru the glass and sliding doors. The bed is up some narrow spiral stairs so if you have trouble with stairs, you can sleep on the futon downstairs. I'd say the one change needed is some updated cushions on the chairs and sofa, but other than that, its a great little place.
