A Magnificent Home Away From Home

5 of 5
First, let me apologize for waiting so long to write this review.. things just happened after we got home. This trip was our 7th to the Big Island and we had stayed at different locations on the island. We chose this house because it was centrally located to areas we wanted to visit. We found it to be ALL we wanted and needed. The stars at night were unbelievable. The house was wonderful and Bob and Sue were exceptional hosts. We had 8 adults in the house and believe it or not; did not feel crowded; in the least. One couple had to sleep on an air mattress; but they said it was more than comfortable. Bob, thank you again for your help in directing my nephews to the sights on the island. Our dream is to someday build us a house on a little piece of paradise...maybe even near you guys.

Nice Getaway

5 of 5
This place is amazing. When we arrived we were blown away by just how big the property is. Standing on the lanai and taking in the view was our favorite part of the stay. The greatest thing about this place is that it's up on the mountain and feels very secluded, yet at any time you are only 15 minutes away from the city amenities. Normally we pay for activities to do while on the island. This trip we spent $0 on activities. We used their stand-up paddle board, longboard, kayak, snorkels, hot tub, bath tub, we hiked local trails, and the workout room. They have internet and a flat screen. Everyday we did not plan anything. We spent the morning on the lanai relaxing and would decide what to do that day. Stress-free and just what we were hoping for. Thanks for taking care of us!

Amazing

5 of 5
The property is even more beautiful than the photos! Surrounded by breathtaking beauty and QUIET, this was the perfect truly relaxing getaway. Mike, the property manager, was so great and helpful. We were really impressed with the way the property was handled in a way in which held so much respect for the environment and indigenous habitat - such a responsible and respectful way to live. If you want to be close to a Walmart and lots of Hawaii keychains, and tourist-driven restaurants, this isn't the place for you. If you want to enjoy the lush, amazing beauty of the island and immerse yourself in it without lines and tour buses, this is absolutely the place for you. Close to amazing snorkeling, and lots of local life in nearby Pahoa. Get some groceries and fresh fish in Pahoa and enjoy the fabulous view from the patio! Mike, thank you so much for everything - we hope to be back!
