A love place to stay when visiting the Big Island

4 of 5
We had a great stay at this location. It was everything it said it would be and more. The location was easy to find, very quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful view. Every morning we woke up to the sun over the ocean, with Hilo off in the distance. The listing was accurate and the site was a great place to stay. It was comfortable and clean and had everything you needed for a visit, including lots of nice little touches like towels for the beach and a vase of flowers on the dining room table. We were given good tips for restaurants, fun hikes and quiet, off the beaten track beaches. We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet week on the bay.

5 of 5
Beautifully built, very clean, fully screened and secure downstairs studio. Grounds were well kept and private to sit outside in the shade of the large wrap-around deck up and roof overhang. Very tastefully decorated inside and out. We never used the indoor shower, as the outdoor shower was so pleasant to use. Bed was very comfortable and we felt completely secure to leave all the doors open(screens only). The walk to the park/beach/bay was less than 5 minutes and the snorkeling was fantastic. Swimming with the spinner dolphins in the bay was an unforgettable experience. Very great place to relax!

Stunning View & Great Host!

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed at Pau Hana for our 5 year wedding anniversary in 2013. We were greeted by the owner, Carol, upon arrival and she gave us a nice walk around of the guest quarters and offered snorkel gear for us to borrow. The room had simple, but adequate necessities with a bed, TV, microwave, coffee maker, and a beautiful bathroom. Carol also left us some of her coffee to try and it was to die for! The view from our room was absolutely stunning. As the sun rose behind the house, you could see the light dance across the plantation making its way down to the coast. After adventuring all day, my husband and I would come back and take a nap to the sounds of the Hawaii afternoon showers. At night, we would sit out on the deck and stargaze in the clear late night skies. We dream of Pau Hana often and can't wait to go back!
