Beautiful private getaway steps from the beach

5 of 5
What a beautiful property! The two of us thoroughly enjoyed our 6 day stay at this home away from home. The location is spectacular with lush gardens that create a very private yard with beach access directly across the street. The ambiance was perfect for our much needed relaxing getaway. The beach is close enough to hear the sounds of the waves crashing from the lanai. We hardly saw anyone else on the beach - it was as if we had the place to ourselves, which was awesome. Anini Beach is shallow and protected from the rough water by a reef, making it perfect for kayaking and snorkeling. Cindy and Ross, our gracious hosts, provided all the gear (even chairs, beach towels, an ice chest and an umbrella!). We hardly needed anything other than swim suits and sandals - they made it so easy. The first day out we discovered the kayak was our favorite for cruising along the beach and saw several turtles after just a short time in the water. We also love to cook so thanks to the clean, fully appointed kitchen and the gas grill on the lanai, we were all set up. Cindy and Ross were also kind enough to share some fresh papaya, Ahi, and Mahi Mahi with us - fish they caught themselves! With a grocery store nearby, eating in was really easy. Although we felt this was a great place with more than enough room for the two of us, could easily accommodate a large group. The large dining table and kitchen island bar would seat 8+. The layout of the house could also provide some privacy for larger groups - it has an open concept living/dining room area that separates a bathroom and two bedrooms at on one end of the house from the master bed/bath on the other end. Other perks like the outdoor showers to wash off sand and the washer/dryer also came in really handy. Since this was out first time on Kauai, we asked Cindy and Ross for some recommendations, which they were more than happy to provide. Their suggestions helped us plan a great day trip to the south shore of the island with stops in Kapaa and Poipu on our way to Waimea Canyon. They also suggested other great North Shore beaches at Princeville, Hanalei Bay, Tunnels, and Ka'a just down the road. It's really a great location to the North Shore. We had everything we needed to make this an awesome trip and would love to come back again. Mahalo!!

Wonderful location on a secluded beach

5 of 5
My family stayed at this beautiful spot for 1 week. Located at the end of a rarely used beach road, this remote location is quiet and separated from the hoards of tourists that flock to the areas around Kapaa, Lihue, and even Princeville. Although we needed to rent a car and travel each day almost 1 hour to see the entire island, the tranquility of this home makes the end of the day very relaxing. The home is very comfortable for two couples or a family of 4. Kitchen has everything needed and the grocery store is located just 10 minutes toward Princeville. There is a washer and dryer, microwave and televisions. The owner, Mr. Lee Cerioni is very helpful and reliable. We give this location the highest recommendation.

A bit more...

5 of 5
After reading all the rave reviews about this property, there is very little more that I can add. But here goes. This house is exactly as described by the other five star reviews...comfortable, clean, everything needed for extended stays etc. What I would like to emphasize is that because of the protective reef, this part of the beach is NEVER rough. We had 30' waves outside the reef because of a storm that made swimming impossible in nearby Hanalei while Anini was dead calm. Anini is also perfect for kayaking. (Kayaks can be rented by the day or week nearby for a reasonable rate.) There are miles inside the reef for enjoyable paddling. Another think I liked about the house is the way neighboring properties are staggered to protective everyone's privacy while relaxing on the spacious deck. Also, the deck is well above ground level so that views are unobstructed, even on busy weekends. I would like to add that For about the same rate
