Hale makai

4 of 5
We stayed at Hale Makai recently for almost two weeks. The house was perfect for us. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could ask for! It even had a rice cooker! It was missing a salad spinner , but that was the only thing we couldn't find . There was plenty of dishes, coolers, ice packs, beach towels, beach chairs ,an iPhone docking system , band aids and even the macadamia nuts and cracker! It was very quiet there. A little far from the south where all the action is, especially thru the snail traffic in Kappu. The attention to problems was immediate. We had a little problem with the BBQ and it was fixed before we could even get back from the beach! The only draw back was the weather. It was unseasonably cold, however no fault of Hale Makai! The neighbors dog was the best! She would come over for a treat every evening and wait patiently for one of us to get up and get her one! Made it so much like home!

Near perfect house and location

5 of 5
Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything about this place was fantastic. The main house worked well for 3 couples- 2 with a small child each. Plenty of room in the spacious bedrooms and closets for everyone. The baths are slightly dated but very clean and functional. The kitchen is large and modern and well stocked with all essentials. The living and dining areas are wide open and perfect for gathering. The view from the house and large porch/ deck is spectacular and the beach is literally just steps away. The beach has great swimming and snorkeling. My brother and his wife stayed in the cottage and had exactly the same great experience. They had TV issues but the manager acted promptly to solve the problem. I don't hesitate to recommend this place and really hope to have the opportunity to go back again. If it's possible, the property is even better than it's description and pictures.

True Hawaii

5 of 5
Na Paina is the quintessential beach house. The view from the deck is amazing and the house was very comfortable and homey. Having 4 bathrooms was great. The bedrooms were spacious, common areas were comfortable, and the newly remodeled kitchen was very functional. While we were unable to swim immediately behind the house (winter riptides), the beach park is a very short walk down the beach and offers safe family friendly swimming. There is also a decent size yard behind the house, great for kids to run around and for using the croquet set we found in the toy cabinet (along with a good supply of beach toys, snorkels, fins, etc). Anahola is a short drive to Kapaa, for shopping and restaurants, and to the North shore sites like Hanalei and Kilauea. If you want a relaxing vacation that makes you feel like you are in ‘true’ Hawaii, this is the perfect house.
