Wonderful Vacation Home

5 of 5
What a beautiful home away from home. Actually, it would be my dream to make this my new permanent home. Centrally located to Hanalei and the North Short. Centrally located to Kapaa and Poipu. This home is located in quiet Anahola. Every day I took a swim from our beach front property. Just walk a few steps and you have a quiet beach all to yourself, minus the Seals and crabs running around in the morning. So interesting to walk at Sunrise and see little crabs poking out of the sand and making their little homes for the day. Wow. Nature abounds. This home is so beautiful and has such character you can tell the owners love the place. The master bedroom is spacious with a modern bathroom, air conditioning and a fan. In my visit, we never turned the air on. Just left the windows open and the ceiling fan on. The bed was comfortable and there was a nice HD flat screen TV connected with Cable. For me, Internet is very very important because I have to take, "Working vacations". The Internet is EXCELLENT. They get around 50Mbps down and 5 Up. That is fast. And the wifi reaches the entire property. All 3 bedrooms. They also had Apple TV setup so I logged in with my Netflix account and watched Streaming TV at night. Kauai is a relatively quiet island with most places closing around 9 or 10PM. Not a lot of nightclubs so bring a book or watch Streaming TV. That's what we did and it was great. Caught up on a few movies. Or better yet……step outside at night and look at the stars. We were there when there was no moon. I was able to see Mars with my naked eyes. Yep, the Red Giant planet was beautiful. We also saw a few shooting stars. Just shut off all the house lights, pull out a deck chair and sit in the back yard and experience the Milky Way. Wow. I never see so many real stars from my hometown Los Angeles!! The Kitchen is full size. Dish washer runs great. Stove runs great. Back Yard BBQ was awesome. Picked up a bunch of steaks from Costco in Lihue and grilled them up. There are lots of places and local markets to also get food and fresh fruit. I loved being centrally located. I went to beaches on the South side and North Side of Kauai. Loved the North Side. During the Summer time, these are some of the best beaches in the world!! Gotta go to Tunnels. Anini beach is also great. The beach in front of the property is great but you want to be a good swimmer since there are currents. Overall, a great experience!!!

Better than expected

5 of 5
The pictures of this home do not do it justice. Everything you need for a great vacation is there. We have already reserved it for next year. Our kids live from one end of the US to the other end. We meet in Hawaii, usually Maui every year for a family vacation. We wanted to try something new this year & did I luck out when I found this place. I think we found our new favorite place. Can't wait to go back. Mike the owner is very nice too..

True Hawaii

5 of 5
Na Paina is the quintessential beach house. The view from the deck is amazing and the house was very comfortable and homey. Having 4 bathrooms was great. The bedrooms were spacious, common areas were comfortable, and the newly remodeled kitchen was very functional. While we were unable to swim immediately behind the house (winter riptides), the beach park is a very short walk down the beach and offers safe family friendly swimming. There is also a decent size yard behind the house, great for kids to run around and for using the croquet set we found in the toy cabinet (along with a good supply of beach toys, snorkels, fins, etc). Anahola is a short drive to Kapaa, for shopping and restaurants, and to the North shore sites like Hanalei and Kilauea. If you want a relaxing vacation that makes you feel like you are in ‘true’ Hawaii, this is the perfect house.
