SIMPLY PARADISE

5 of 5
What a wonderful home to spend a week in. I was impressed from my very first contact with the owner Catherine, which continued through our entire week. Everything was as we were told. We were greeted at the airport by the property manager Fiona, taxied to the home which was about a 10 min drive and had a rental car brought to the house as we requested. If there was a problem, I emailed Fiona and it was addressed immediately. This house has a wonderful set up for a family or multiple families. A big bonus was that each bedroom had it's own bathroom and we appreciated having a washer/dryer which helped us to pack lightly. Our favorite aspect of the house was keeping the sliding glass doors open the entire day, making it feel like we were outdoors even when we needed to get out of the sun and sit inside. At night we kept the lights inside off and the lights outside on to keep the bugs from flying inside and closed all the back doors before bed. We cooked in the house a few nights. If you like beer, try the West Indies Brew Company just down the way. We were disappointed to learn that a few of the restaurants had a dress code (no shorts or flip flops and men needed dress shoes). Our favorite restaurant was The Cave. It had a very cool atmosphere and the best meal all week. They too had a dress code but we decided to show up and take the chance. We got lucky (we were dressed very nice, girls wore sundresses and men shorts and button up shirts, both with flip flops). We had a fantastic week and if we were planning another trip to Grenada, we would not hesitate staying at Fushi Villa again.

Beautiful and secluded

My husband and I spent a wonderful ten days at Valency House in March 2013. Valency House was the perfect tropical paradise. It overlooks the Caribbean Sea and has easy access to beautiful Pink Gin Beach. The parttime housekeeper and her brother, the gardener, were courteous and very helpful. There are convenient close-by world-class restaurants and attractions. There is easy access to the airport and St George's. Valency House's large porch, kitchen, huge well decorated dining room, and bedrooms were clean and well laid-out. We could not have asked for a better place for our vacation stay in Grenada. The owners were great. They gave us tips on places to eat and things to see. They called twice to see how we were doing and left food for us so we had something to eat before we went to the grocery store.
