Amazing!

5 of 5
We have just got back from two weeks at Villa Amarillo. What can I say? It was an absolutely fantastic villa and the perfect location from which to explore Grenada. There are two bars within walking distance and you can organise sailing, snorkeling or scuba trips and spa treatments from True Blue which is probably a 5 minute walk from the Villa. There are also numerous picture perfect Caribbean beaches within a 10 / 15 minute drive. (You do need your own car here but driving around is easy). The villa was large and spacious and had loads of different areas we could hang out depending on our mood and the time of the day. We went as a group of 6 adults and felt we had loads of space all the time. The bedrooms were all a good size and had a/c and comfy beds and the kitchen was well equipped. The photos don't really do the rooms justice. However, the BEST thing about the Villa was Miss Maureen! What an absolute star. She was so friendly and helpful yet gave us our space and would materialise from nowhere when there was anything to be done. Her cooking was great and gave us a real taste of home cooked Caribbean food whilst the villa was always clean and tidy. Anna was so welcoming when we first arrived which gave us a great feeling from our first moment at the villa. She then left us to it but was very quick to reply to any emails when we had the odd query. We also have an excellent list of potential baby names courtesy of Anna! All in all the perfect villa owner. Sam Dick

Amazing villa with fantastic views.

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed at Villa Frangipani for 12 days at the beginning of December and cannot emphasize enough the beauty of the villa and the fantastic experience in general with the villa, island and owner. We travel to the Caribbean several times a year and have been to most Caribbean islands. In our experience, typically pictures make the places look better than reality. In the case of Frangipani Villa, the description and photos on the website just do not convey the full beauty of this villa and the island. We were met at the villa by Nurlyn from Down Island Realty and the housekeeper Shirley and were literally in awe as we walked into the front door and saw the ocean view from the wall of windows. The entire villa is spotlessly clean, the kitchen is stocked with everything you can possibly need, the bedrooms and baths are beautifully furnished. All windows and doors are screened to keep bugs out but let the fresh air in. Corine and Christofer, the owners, have spared no expense in this property. Corine, was wonderful to work with from the time we booked the villa until we checked out (and even after!). made us feel so welcome in her house and on her island, I don’t think we’ve ever felt that way at any other villa we’ve stayed at in the past. After losing power, one quick call to Nurlyn at the rental agency and she had made a trip to manually open the driveway gate (the gate keeps cows out of the yard!) and the power company to resolve the issue very quickly! Shirley did a great job and was always smiling and friendly. Carriacou is a wonderful unspoiled island. The island people are very kind and friendly. We drove all over the island, shopped at the little fruit stands, and shopped in the local groceries (shopping typically involves stops at all 4 Hillsboro grocery stores and Patti’s gourmet deli but you should be able to find what you need), never did we feel unwelcome or unsafe. Restaurants that we found wonderful were Boggle’s Roundhouse and Lazy Turtle in Tyrell Bay. Corine has left information on activities and suggestions for things to do, but undoubtedly, you’ll want to spend time relaxing in the villa’s ocean view pool or sitting on undisturbed Paradise Beach. If you are looking for a gorgeous villa, with amazing views on an island of friendly laid back people, I would absolutely recommend Villa Frangipani. We will be back and for a longer stay next time!

Modern Luxury in Grenada!!

4 of 5
The photos on the website dont do this Villa (mansion!!) justice!! Set on the end of a peninsula with 180% degree views over the sea and enjoying a refreshing sea breeze; the house more than met our expectations!! The 40ft infinity pool allowed for proper swimming and the outside patio area was big enough for 3 families to easily find peace and quiet; never felt crowded. The house itself feels very modern and clean and has a huge central atrium hung with giant chandeliers. The kitchen and lounge have bifold doors which allow the whole house to open up to the outside creating a fantastic indoor /outdoor living area. All 5 bedrooms are large with beautiful ensuite bathrooms and aircon; 3 with large terraces overlooking the sea. the house is situated in the most up market area of St George and allows for easy access (5 mins) to all the local beaches and restaurants. Anne, the daily maid, was very thorough and friendly and John (the handyman/chef) prepared some great lobster meals for us!!! the big difference compared to other Caribbean islands for us was how safe we felt and how friendly the people were!! We will definately be visiting again!!
