As it says on the tin - stunning seafront vila

5 of 5
I was very sceptical when we have booked this vila as I have had some previous sour experiences. But dear future visitors - fear no more! This is at it says on the tin - stunning seafront vila! To give you an idea - it would be like someone who has a meticulous attention to details and loves the property suddenly invites you into own house and then leaves you to enjoy it with your own family or friends! Then, when you finish admiring house and stunning views from every front room, and when you had enough of BBQ's in the garden, you can use a tour and food guide collated by owners, way better then my Greece tourist guide! I could continue this forever, but all I'm going to say - go and experience for yourselves warm welcome, frendy owners, great villa, stunning views and fantastic food! Enjoy! Saul, UK

Beautiful, Quiet spot with great Beach and History

5 of 5
It is a wonderful location right on the shore of the Aegean sea, just over half an hour from the airport and Athens. It is very quiet and relaxing spot, however, if you are looking for the nightlife, beautiful Athens are a short drive away. The house is modern, comfortable, and meticulously maintained. It has a great pool if you want to cool off in the afternoon or take a night swim. There is an AC, a kitchen, a laundry, several bathrooms-so we had everything that we needed. There are numerous places to eat all around and the food is great and inexpensive. The owner and the managers of the property are great people-warm, friendly and very helpful. They guided us through our stay, so we saw and tried a lot of things that I am certain we would never experience if we were on our own. I am a big fan of history so living a mile away and walking every day on the actual site of Marathon battle was a big thrill. In general walking on the stones of Acropolis, Ancient Agora, Mycenae, Corinth feels surreal and awe inspiring. If you like to swim, there is a rocky cove about 100 yards away which is great for snorkeling, or there is a great "wild" sandy beach about 2 miles away, or fully blown beach club with bars and umbrellas etc. The food and wine are awesome-my wife and I are pretty picky, yet every single meal during our stay-we cleaned the plates-finger licking good. I would recommend renting a car, parking is not an issue and with GPS on my iPhone we didn't have any trouble getting around. The cars with manual transmission are readily available, if you need an automatic-the property manager put us in touch with a company that provided a luxury sedan with all the bells and whistles, they greeted us at the airport during arrival and departure. One recommendation that I would make is to bring cash with you-the gas stations do take credit cards, but a lot of other places prefer cash transactions. In conclusion-it was a wonderful place to stay, I would highly recommend it and we are planning our next stay at the same spot already.
