Excellent stay in Athens!

5 of 5
A charming apartment near all of the major sites. We were a family of 4. Two children ages 5 and 9. The apartment is very well appointed. The beds are quite comfortable. The WIFI even worked well which is unusual based on my previous experiences. The apartment is a bit difficult to find though. We took the metro from the airport to Acropolis station and then walked to the apartment. Would have been 10 minutes if we knew where we were going, or if I had planned it through google maps. But after a few phone calls to our host and a few wrong turn we made it there. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and had everything about the apt explained to us. There was a good deal of food provided as well. Milk, apples, juice, cookies, coffee, tea, olive oil. I also enjoyed that we had things like napkins, paper towels and toilet paper. Most apartments I've rented don't provide this and you have to make a shopping trip for it on arrival. It i an easy walk to the acropolis metro station, Plaka, Zeus Temple, Acropolis, Ancient Agora, etc. Everything you want to see is close. There is no need for a car. On our last day there we even took the tram down to the beach for some sun for the children. Our host even arranged transportation to the airport for us. Taxi. The metro run 24/7 but we had to leave at 0430 and didn't think the children would make the 10 min walk to the metro. Overall I think this may have been the best apartment I've stayed on from Home Away. If returning to Athens I would definitely stay here again. All the best to our hosts.

This house was a wonderful place

5 of 5
This house was a wonderful place to dwell in for our first visit to Greece. The atmosphere and the architecture of the villa was perfect for relaxing after our long day trips of exploring your beautiful country. The most loved spot was definitely the balcony. It was so peaceful to awake in the morning and read atop the balcony while beholding the breath-taking scene before us. It was soothing to lounge in the chairs on the balcony in the afternoon and soak up some sun. The dinner by the fire and gazing up at the blanket of sky may have been the best. Alissa loved the cats, Lindsey was thrilled by the brilliant sunrise and sunsets, Nicole enjoyed exploring the surrounding country side, Tom reveled in the fire-side dinner, and Teresa couldn’t get enough of basking in the wondrous beauty of Greece. We clearly all had an amazing time and your great hospitality made it all the more amazing. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your villa, it was quite an experience. God Bless, Teresa, Tom, Nicole, Lindsey and Alissa
