Great place and a great getaway!

4 of 5
I took my wife up to Oso Suite as a surprise for her birthday weekend. She didn't know what we were doing or where we were going. I just told her to pack her bag and hop in the car with me. She'd been wanting to go back to a cabin since we first did it a few years ago. When we finally pulled into the driveway and she saw the house, she could not have been more giddy. The house and property are pretty amazing. We arrived after dark, so the amazing views of the landscape were not available yet, but the brilliant night sky definitely made up for that. As we sat in the hot tub shortly after arriving, we both saw the same shooting star zip across the sky. Does it get any better than that? The house is very nicely decorated and definitely gives you that rustic, cabin feel, but yet has all the creature comforts and modern amenities you could want. The only things we could note that could use a little attention were the following: The fan on the main level still does not work. We saw that mentioned in an earlier review. It would definitely help reduce some energy costs to be able to have the fan on pulling the hot air from the loft area back down. It got very warm upstairs, while still pretty cool down. The kitchen could use a few more pots and pans, but was overall pretty well-appointed. We did not need the 2nd bedroom downstairs, but the comforter did appear a little dirty and had some animal hair on it. Besides that, we absolutely loved the cabin and the owners have every right to be proud of it. The hot tub appears almost brand new and was nice and clean and wonderful. We used it for a couple hours each night even getting the little chimney on the deck going for a little ambient light and warmth. The weather could not have been better for this time of year. We checked out Young Harris a bit and also took a tour of the Crane Creek Winery which is just about 15 minutes away. Great people and very nice wine. We'd definitely recommend doing the tour or even just going for a tasting or a picnic. Overall, my wife loved the cabin and her special surprise birthday weekend. I would not hesitate to recommend that any of my friends or family choose this cabin for their next stay in the North Georgia Mountains.

Great place to stay

5 of 5
My family rented the house for the weekend while in young Harris for my nephews wedding. Must say I now know why it's called Heavenly Heights. Feels like you are almost in the heavens. LOL The house itself was wonderful, and oh the views are spectacular. you can see everything. Although it did rain a little it still was great. It's only 5 minutes to Brasstown Resort & Spa. Only thing bad I have to say is we almost hit 2 deer coming up the driveway. But we all survived a little shook up but we survived. I would definitely like to come back to Heavenly Heights maybe this time when the weather is a little warmer.

There's no place like home, except Mystic Ridge

5 of 5
We have a family tradition of renting a cabin for the week of Thanksgiving in the Georgia/North Carolina/Tennessee area. We rent a different cabin each year as life is too short to do the same thing twice, but after our stay at Mystic Ridge our philosophy has changed. We found heaven and there is no reason to look elsewhere! The cabin is so incredibly beautiful and has every amenity that you could think of. My husband and I like to do a lot of cooking and baking while on our annual Thanksgiving trip as there is so little time on a daily basis to cook fancy meals and baked goods. So every year we pack up about half of our kitchen and take it with us. This year it was a waste of our time as Mystic Ridge has more kitchen gadgets, pots, pans, baking necessities and utensils then we have ever had. We were in heaven and we left all of our items unpacked in their totes and stuck them in the closet (which, btw, this cabin has tons of closet space!). We were overwhelmed by all of the thought that has gone into making this cabin a true "home". The decor is so incredibly beautiful and professional (they must have used a decorator or they are very talented!). Every item that you could possibly need is available (games, DVDs, books, outdoor games such as horseshoes and football, a first aid kit, kitchen gadgets, dishes and serving trays galore and even wonderfully cozy throw blankets on the couches!). The beds are so comfortable and there are enough pillows and blankets to sleep an army! The pool table is a professional grade table and the hot tub even has a multi-color light!! The fire pit and deck have an amazing view and the wrap around porch has so many comfortable chairs that you can sit in a different chair every time you are out there enjoying the peace and quite and fresh mountain air. This cabin is far and above the most beautiful cabin that we have ever had the pleasure of calling "home" for a week. And to top it all off it is located in a beautiful area of Georgia with so many things to do...horseback riding, hiking, water falls, museums, a miniature railroad exhibit that is a must see, a vineyard and plenty of small towns with excellent restaurants and shopping. "There is no place like home" except possibly Mystic Ridge!
