WILDCAT'S DEN - A Great Cabin

5 of 5
This cabin was awesome and so centrally located to all the mountain activities we had come to experience. Everything was so clean, shiny and new. It even still smells new inside. We really enjoyed all the porches that wrapped around the front, side and another porch in back. The Living Room & central part of the house was very comfortable (especially the sofas) & even had extra quilts for snoozing. Both bedrooms were comfortable and very cozy. We were surprised to find so many TV channels and the Wi-Fi was an extra bonus for us computer geeks. If I had anything negative to say, it would be the bathroom being up a few stairs & on the opposite side of the house away from the bedrooms. It was a slight bother during the nights, especially for an old lady like myself who gets up5 times a night, but that's my problem. We enjoyed one evening meal at Laprades Marina which was only around the bend and another night we grilled out on the porch using the really nice gas grill that was furnished. The owners were extremely hospitable and could not have been nicer or easier to work with. Karen took care of every tiny detail and had we needed any extra help we felt confident that we could have called her. They went over and beyond what normally would have been expected & furnished a very through booklet of all the surrounding mountains, trails & activities that we were wondering about. And in less than a week, we have already received confirmation that our deposit is on it's way back to us. We would definitely recommend this cabin to our friends or family and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely experience

What a beautiful property this is! The creek runs next to the cottage and has rushing, clear water, not too deep so you can see all the rocks along it's bed. The owners are very family friendly and have provided dozens and dozens of games including badminton, and even share their kayaks. Just a short walk across the street to a beautiful, well-kept, and recently painted boat dock. The yard is quite big, with plenty of room for kids to run about. There's a grill and a bonfire pit, and plenty of covered porch for sunny or rainy afternoons. We loved having morning coffee on the side porch, listening to Seal Creek as it made it's way to the lake. And if you like to have a gourmet kitchen in which to play. There is an expansive window over the kitchen sink with a view you have to see to understand. Waterfall. Heaven. The grass was long when we arrived so I called the owner, and she had it tended to first thing in the morning. (She explained the last renters had sent him away so he missed a week!) We had such a great week, and I had my security deposit returned within days. We highly recommend the property.
