BEAUTIFUL HOUSE WITH A BREATH-TAKING LAKE VIEW.

5 of 5
The property is in a nice and quiet neighborhood. The area around the house is well kept and I loved the landscaping that was done on the water side of the house. The inside of the house was very clean and felt welcoming. It had everything I needed for my stay including great internet access. The bed was more comfortable then my own bed at home. The wrap around porch was awesome to just chill out on and grill some food while enjoying the view and pleasant weather. The dock is easily accessible, as are the kayak and canoe (so much fun to paddle around the lake). This location is also only 15 minutes away from Helen which is a nice tourist area with great food places (I recommend Hoffer's Bakery). Also, the house is only 10 minutes away from Jack Rabbit's Trail which is now one of my favorite mountain bike trails. The neighborhood has a nice circle loop around which was nice for my daily run. It was such a relaxing stay that I was definitely not ready to leave at the end of my stay. The host was very responsive and polite answering all my questions. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting to enjoy a nice lake side vacation.

FAMILY VACATION

5 of 5
We had three couples stay at Chrissy's Xanadu in Hayesville, NC which borders on the Georgia line in Hiawassee. It was an awesome stay. The view from the back balcony is incredible especially the sunsets. If there is a little fog the sunrise from the front porch about 9 am is heavenly as the rays of sunshine peak through the trees. We were able to capture it in photos. We went to Brasstown Bald which is a must see. The weather and views from up there were unreal. We rented a pontoon boat and toured Lake Chatuge. That was fantastic. We hiked the Chatuge Dam and we were surrounded by beauty. We hiked Jack Rabbit Mountain which was fun. We ate at Daniel's steak house which was very good but we did a lot of barbequing on the balcony because we just wanted to soak up the view. There is a lot to do in this area but if you just want to relax I couldn't think of a better place to do it than at Chrissy's Xanadu. So very quiet and serene. We were hoping to see some colors of the changing leaves but we were here a little too early and I am sure this place is booked each and every October. We would definitely come back again.

GREAT GETAWAY!

5 of 5
Absolutely beautiful home, the pictures do not do it justice. Two adults and four kids ages 19 months to 10 were very comfortable (home is very kid safe) in this gorgeous lake front home for Spring break. The lake is literally right there, no neighbors close by. The marina is your only neighbor and there is not much traffic from it. The bedrooms, bathrooms & closets are large. The views from all the windows in the house are amazing. Everything you need to cook with is equipped in the kitchen. There were plenty of towels. The couch is the biggest couch I have ever seen. My husband and I, and our four children were comfortable, all on it watching movies. Bob, the owner, was kind enough to let us borrow his extra life jackets. Loved fishing off the dock every morning and evening [actually caught a lot of fish (catfish, bream, bass)]. We also rented a boat one afternoon from the marina next door. Already inquired about coming back in the summer! And that is a big deal for us because we always rent at a different location. YES! That is how much we all loved this spot…
