                PERFECT

                5 of 5
My son and I were brainstorming on what to do the weekend my wife was hosting a baby shower for his first born. We decided a “Boys Weekend” on a lake somewhere was the ticket. Since we are not very good planners, the day before we were to depart we started looking. As faith would have it, the Lone Star Cabin was available! I contacted Megan and we were in! The Dogs too! Joe and I (and Abel and Elvis) got to the cabin and we were greeted with warmth and peace and quiet! The Cabin is comfortable and very well maintained. We enjoyed the fishing on the dock and some great walks. There is nothing bad to say about this place. A short drive from ATL and we felt as if we were the only ones there. The Lone star house will hold a special place in my heart as I was able to spend the time with my son as he awaits the arrival of first child in August! Thanks Megan for the life long memory! Dave and Joe Abel and Elvis too!

                BEAUTIFUL HOME, RELAXING STAY!

                5 of 5
Beautiful house located on Lake Hartwell, immaculate inside and out. The pictures are accurate but do not adequately project the warmth and comfort of this home. Comfortable beds, plush towels, comfortable, clean furniture. We enjoyed sitting on the porch overlooking the lake in the AM, having coffee and checking e-mail before going out on the lake for the day. There are 2 boat ramps very close by, and a small store less than a mile away. The neighbors are friendly, and the lake is beautiful. Linda was a pleasure to work with, very responsive and ready to help with any questions we had. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind on Lake Hartwell it doesn't get any better than this! We will definitely be back to this house for the USC-UGA game in Athens again (hopefully with a better outcome for our Gamecocks! :) ) if not before. Thank you, Linda & Wyman, for sharing your piece of paradise on the lake!!

                AWESOME VACATION!!

                5 of 5
This house is wonderful! My husband and I went with three other couples and 3 teenagers for several days and we didn't want to leave. The layout is almost like two separate homes - one upstairs and one downstairs - with a kitchenette down. We hung out mostly in the huge main floor great room/kitchen area with a glass wall overlooking the backyard, firepit and lake in the background. It's far enough away so you don't hear lots of boat noise but close enough to walk right down and sit in the porch swing on the dock and soak in the peace! I personally liked crashing on the huge back deck in a lounge chair with a book. The game room with ping pong and pool kept the kids busy when they weren't swimming, fishing, paddle boating or tubing with a friend who brought his boat up. It's very private from the road with a couple of small lake houses nearby. The space for the money is well worth it! We ate out once at a fun place called Swamp Guinea - big tables where you pass the food and eat til you're stuffed. Mostly we stayed in and cooked easy meals and relaxed. The guys played golf at a couple of courses nearby - Cateechee and Hartwell Golf Club. They liked Cateechee best. A surprise - this place had VERY nice furniture which we didn't expect for a vacation rental - and a large fenced-in yard. Only problem - at times I had to walk out on the deck to get a full cell signal with my AT&T phone. There is a house phone though and wireless internet so not a big deal to communicate if you have to. Otherwise, turn them all off, relax and have fun. The owners were helpful and wanted to make sure we had a great time. No problems. We would recommend this place to anyone and plan to go back whenever we have a chance.
