      The Blue House Review

      5 of 5
I must say we really enjoyed the Blue House! It was perfect in size for all that came (9 People). It is furnished with all you'll need, even an iron! It was very clean. We had alot of fun in the pool/game room. We took walks around the area which was really pleasant. It was too hot to enjoy the deck outside - darn it. We enjoyed riding into town on the country road. It's centrally located actually we found it easy to get in and out of town. We met the cleaning ladies before we left - they were very nice and ready to get the house fixed up for hte next group. Thank you so much!!

      Nice home for groups

      4 of 5
This was a wonderful setting for a 3 generation family gathering. We enjoyed the theater room. The pool was nice for the small children in our group (3-5 feet deep). The home gave everyone the opportunity to spread out if needed, but it also had large gathering spaces. The view was nice, but was partially obstructed by trees. We didn't end up using the lake much as it was still quite cold and was choppy during most of our stay. The area around the home had fewer activities than many of our previous destinations, but we were aware of this before arriving. The kitchen has commercial grade appliances (except the dishwasher that seemed to require pre-rinsing). We used the gas grill several times; it was able to accommodate large meals but was uneven in its cooking. We were disappointed to find that the house lacked several essentials we have seen at other homes in our yearly gatherings: salt & pepper, basic spices, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, etc. The owner was quick to respond when we had an issue with the pool, although the pool guy never came back a 2nd time to put things away and check the equipment as he said he would. We also had 5-6 hours of noisy welding to fix the outdoor gates one day. Overall, my family enjoyed the home.
