As described - only better!

We had 12 women come for a weekend retreat and it could not have been more perfect! Eight of us stayed at the home and four stayed at the hotel and came over in the morning for breakfast and activities. I came up early to make sure the home was clean and had enough supplies. I was able to spend this time relaxing because the home was spotless and had more than enough supplies already there. There are enough towels and sheets and blankets and pillows and even had a few light throws on the couch for those in our group that always seem cold. There was extra supplies in the kitchen just in case, everything was thought of,he even had a crock pot! This enabled us to have a stress free weekend and enjoy each others company. We went hiking in Talulah gorge on Saturday and had an awesome time. There was enough space for some to watch the football game on Saturday while others went for a walk or sat on the porches overlooking God's glory. It was very convenient to have the hotel nearby so when we reached the limit of house guests the option of others staying at the hotel was open. The owner was very easy to contact and answered all my multiple questions, like: is there a working coffee pot (yes, two) and what kind of filters does the coffee pot need (cone) did you get my paperwork (yes) ....... I hope to rent from him again soon. As the organizer of this event I was worried, but the owner made everything run so smooth that I looked like I was a pro :) The driveway is steep but after you go up it the first time it is not scary anymore and there is plenty of parking at the top. We had 7 cars and it was fine. There is plenty to do nearby, hiking, waterfalls, the river,a flea market, antiques, the Dillard house, horseback riding, but the view is good enough to do nothing at all and still have a good time.

Women's Retreat

5 of 5
My women friends and I just had a very satisfying weekend at Pride Rock. It was just as the owner's had described, only better. The kitchen was fully equipped for the fabulous meals we prepared and there were many spaces for doing yoga and quietly meditating. Highly recommended!
