We stayed at "Above the Clouds" cabin the week of July 4th and had a spectacular vacation. Each morning we'd have breakfast outside on the screened-in porch and take in the unbelievable views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This cabin seriously has the best views in Blue Ridge. The cabin itself was just rebuilt and the owners spared no expense and put tremendous effort into making sure all the necessary amenities are there, down to extra pillows and blankets in every room. There's so much to gush about... the furniture throughout is brand new and beyond comfortable. The finishes in the cabin are gorgeous and really top notch. There's HDTV's in every room, and the wireless internet is blazing fast. The downstairs porch has an amazing hot tub and hammock, not to mention a pool table and game room. The kitchen is perfectly appointed and has everything you'd need… pots, pans, blenders, crock pots, etc. There's not one thing I'd change about this cabin. As for the town of Blue Ridge, it has so much to offer families and couples alike. We went to Mercier's Orchard on 3 separate occasions and had the best fried pies and cider EVER. We took a ride on the scenic railroad and had a blast in McCaysville and then spent a day in nearby Helen, GA sampling German cuisine and even visited the Cabbage Patch Hospital, a must for little girls. We saw an amazing fireworks show on Lake Blue Ridge and had multiple meals in downtown Blue Ridge at various restaurants that we just can't wait to visit again. Lastly, the owners of this cabin were so responsive and accommodating throughout our entire experience. Bud went above and beyond to make sure we had proper directions and information about Blue Ridge to ensure we had an amazing vacation. Do yourself a favor… if you're thinking of spending time in the mountains, consider this cabin. Of all the chalets and cabins we've vacationed at over the years in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Blue Ridge, "Above the Clouds" has been the best experience. We will be back and we can't wait.
