My husband, teenage daughter, and I stayed in this delightful apartment for a week at the end of April. The apartment is exactly as it looks in the photographs. It is quiet and clean, and the beds are very comfortable. My daughter loved having her own bedroom and space. It was wonderful to come home to such a charming, relaxing place after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. When we first arrived, we were met at the apartment by Christine, the concierge, who had arranged a car to and from the airport. Christine went over everything we needed to know and made restaurant recommendations. She was very accessible throughout our stay. It was very nice having a washer and a dryer, and especially the dishwasher. There is also a citrus juicer, and we made fresh orange juice in the mornings. It was great having Wifi for our iPhone and iPad. We had no issues with the four flights of stairs. The apartment is in a perfect location, just a short walk to the Republique and Temple Metro stops that took us all over the city, and it is close to many shops and restaurants (our favorites were Chez Jenny right near the Republique Metro station, Au Fil des Saisons at 6 rue des Fontaines du Temple, and Chameleon at 70 rue Rene Boulanger). One thing we loved about the neighborhood is that it did not feel touristy at all. There is an ATM right on the corner with Temple, which was incredibly convenient. The patisserie on Temple right near the metro stop is amazing, and we had fresh baguettes and croissants every morning with our coffee. We were not far from a fabulous market and specialty shops on rue de Bretagne, where we bought fresh vegetables and fruits and a rack of lamb for our Easter dinner. We cooked in three times during our stay (the kitchen has everything we needed and more), and we made lunches of baguettes and cheese we found at a fantastic cheese shop on rue de Bretagne. There is also a Monoprix if we wanted a more "grocery store" experience. We walked to the Seine and Notre Dame, which took about 20 minutes or so, and in the opposite direction to the Pompideau, which took a little less time. The Metro easily took us everywhere else. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a "real" Parisian experience.
