Quintessential southern France

5 of 5
I have completely and utterly fallen in love with this house! Six of us stayed for a week in Chantal's (owner's) superbly appointed home in Naujan-et-Postiac. The only thing that compared with the exterior beauty of the house and grounds was the modern and tasteful interior and furnishings. From the moment we arrived, Chantal did everything possible to make us feel like we were at home and not just guests. We ran into a few logistical problems while we were visiting (including running out of wine on a Sunday afternoon - Sacre Bleu!) which Chantal went above and beyond to help us overcome (including sharing some of her personal wine). Her willingness to make us feel like her personal guests will forever leave me extremely grateful. This is a perfect location for visiting wineries and taking tours, all while . We spent a great deal of time in the Bordeaux and St. Emilion regions, a very short drive from the house. We also took a day trip to the coast which was nice and certainly not too far. The surrounding woods have health trails which we frequented and the beautiful old town of St. Aubin de Branne is worth the hike to view the 10th century church. The nearby village of Branne is a quick 10 minutes for groceries, sundries, and the wonderful Le 420 Patisserie for baguettes and croissants every morning. My thoughts now are consumed by trying to plan in my next visit to this little slice of heaven in the south of France.
