Recent Ile-de-France (Paris region) Reviews

Charming, beautifully maintained and convenient.

5 of 5
A bright and charming apartment with wonderful architectural detail from the early 20th century and furnished with beautiful antiques. The designer bathroom and fully equipped kitchen added greatly to the comfort. Located in a non-tourist neighborhood, the apartment was around the corner from a wonderful daily street market, several good cafes and restaurants. It was a short walk to the Denfert Rochereau Metro stop with access to the 4 and 6 lines that permitted efficient transport to many popular places in Paris. We would stay there again!

“When Good Americans Die, They Go to Paris.” Oscar Wilde

5 of 5
We stayed at this beautiful hideaway in the heart of the 16th arr. for an all too brief 8 days. Our arrival was warmly welcomed by the caretaker, Mona and her assistant, Winston, who greeted us with a delicious selection of cheese and fruit from the local market, and prepared each of the rooms with a bouquet of bright crimson roses; a perfect color to contrast with the white on white decor of the townhouse. My husband, teenage daughter and I fit comfortably in the home, with plenty of space for privacy. The guest bath off the kitchen allowed for the master bath to remain free from our daughter's clutter. Plus, the airy and roomy first floor had plenty of space for her massive luggage from a 6-week journey. We began each day with fresh croissant, pain au chocolate & custard from the corner patisserie and we brewed coffee from the well stocked and appointed kitchen. Every night we ate at one of the local restaurants, except for one night when we "became Parisian" and cooked at home. The selection of local places to eat is excellent. We became regulars at one place in particular, Da Enzo, where the Italian fare was simple and delicious. Finding things to do in Paris is never difficult, but the townhouse's impressive collection of books on Paris, French History and Art Deco design temps one to stay put and get lost in the reading, rather than in the nearby Auteuil, where there is some of the most renown examples of Art Nouveau buildings. Our visit to Paris was made so much better because of this townhouse; its accessibility, security, charm, warmth, size and beautiful design, it was difficult to leave; it was to "die for".

The perfect stay for our first trip to Paris

5 of 5
Conveniently located in one of the nicest districts of Paris. You are a 5 min walk to the Arc of triumph and Champs Elysees. You have stores, restaurants, we went to L’aventure (very chic) located in the corner of the street. You have a market (monop’) a cross the building if you want to do some grocery shopping. And if you’re planning to do the bus tour (which honestly I do recommend) it picks you up on the corner of Champs Elysees or in Avenue Kleber (only two blocks away) and your first stop will be the Eiffel tower! I mean this place is perfect! The loft made us feel like true Parisians. Yes it is small, but it has everything you need and more, you can see from your window the Arc of triumph and from the bedroom you can spot the Eiffel tower. The apartment is very clean and neat. I don’t have any “buts” about the loft. If we go back one day, we will definitely book again with Loic, who by the way is very nice and welcoming, he walked us through the apartment and made the check –in/check-out easy with no hassle. If you want to have a great stay in Paris, with no bad surprises, this is a charming and perfect place to stay!
