Lovely, large, comfortable home

5 of 5
We were three adults and 9 kids staying in this wonderful home, which you would think would mean cramped quarters and chaos, but this home is so large and well laid out that it was not the case at all! It's actually two sections joined by a central foyer, with two complete kitchens and 2 living areas, two HUGE tables with benches, and 5 large bedrooms. The number of bathrooms was also a very nice surprise. One even has an en suite WC, a rarity in France. The kitchens are very well stocked, even including large Le Creuset pots- you don't see that in every rental home! There's outdoor seating, as well. The winery is on a lovely property with tons of space to walk around and enjoy the views of the mountains. The owners were very kind and helpful, and there's tons of brochures in the house to help you plan outings. It's 25 minutes to Orange and about 45 to Avignon, so very easy to sight see from the house. But if you don't want to see the overly touristy sites, there are plenty of lovely hill towns and chateaux very close to the house. We had no problems at all and really enjoyed our stay- thank you Nick and Sabine!

Better Than As Advertised

5 of 5
Kathy and Larry are the best. From our initial inquiry to check out, their service was outstanding. Our questions were answered almost immediately, we were sent information on sights near by and best of all there were welcome goodies for us when we got there. The whole process was seamless. The unit has three floors with bedrooms on the ground floor and a bedroom on the top floor which provided privacy. The unit was immaculate and well maintained. The unit is also centrally located. We'd walk out in the morning, get pastries and walk back to the apartment. The items were still warm when we got back. The market, on Fridays, is just steps from the door. The people in town were gracious and friendly. We couldn't have been treated better. We used the unit as our "base camp" and visited wineries, saw Roman ruins (which are incredible), etc. Thank you Katrhy and Larry for all your help and the use of your great apartment.
