Spectacular Classic French Estate

5 of 5
The country location, the pine scented air, the mountains to the back and the Mediterranean Sea off in the distance made this slice of heaven perfect. The house was beautifully appointed and very clean upon our arrival. The service was prompt, friendly, and courteous. We especially enjoyed going to town in the morning for fresh croissants to be enjoyed in the courtyard before heading out for the day. The many local attractions made for memories my family will never forget. We even had the pleasure of hosting an elegant dinner party for our friends. The kids most enjoyed the pizza we made in our own pizza oven. Would highly recommend.... it was perfect!

Overall, wonderful, totally agree with the other 5 star reviews below. Our family of 12, 5 adults and 7 kids( ages 9-18 years)stayed here for one week. The house was perfect and exceeded our expectations. It was clean, quiet, spacious, tastefully decorated, with lovely furniture and paintings throughout. The pictures really don't capture the beauty of the home and gardens. The master suite is huge but all the other bedrooms are plenty big with en-suite bathrooms. The air-conditioning was a must for us and the washer and dryer was also a plus. The gardens are gorgeous with multiple outside seating areas, the pool is great, table tennis in the yard and 2 tennis courts across the street.....what more do you need! The location was exactly what we were looking for.....the small town of Cabrieres d'Avignon is 15 minutes walk away. It has a wonderful butcher( great meats), baker( for the fresh daily baguettes and croissants), and small grocer that seems to carry everything you might need. We had dinner in town on 2 occasions and it was great to be able to stroll home on the quiet roads under the stars. We put the outdoor grill to good use also. There are several towns( Gordes ,Roussillon, Isle Sur La Sorgue) within 10-20 minutes drive that are lovely and make time to hit one on market day. Patrick, the owner was easy to work with; he answered all emails promptly with helpful suggestions for our trip. Remy and Caroline, the care takers, are fabulous also and they were a great local resource. They prepared a delicious meal for us on our first night. Overall, fantastic.......one week was too short. We look forward to returning in the future!
