What a lovely home

5 of 5
My husband and I chose Chez Peshi to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. What a wonderful experience. The home was absolutely lovely, well appointed and located in precisely the area we wanted to be in. Everything was spotless, the kitchen was fabulous, it had everything you could possible need. It was so great to be able to come home and enjoy the backyard then later the fireplace. The wireless service was a plus. The owners left this great guide book, had all the information about the house and the area you could ever need. We tried some of the recommended hikes and restaurants and they were spot on. The nearby town of Nolay had a great grocery store that had every thing we needed. We enjoyed glasses of wine in a quaint little bar on the medieval square in the village and bread everyday from the local patisserie. The surrounding area was absolutely gorgeous. Everyday was a new adventure in a different charming little village. The food and wine in that area was fabulous. We went to the farmers market in Beaune one morning and got wonderful cheeses and artisan sausages. We couldn't have chosen a better vacation spot. Thank you Pete and Shirlene!

Our stay in Mont St Jean was absolutely perfect

5 of 5
Jean the owner, speaks English very well and met us in Mont St Jean and showed us around this beautiful home that sits on top of a hill overlooking breathtaking views of the valley. He could not have been any more helpful. All of the furnishings are top of the line. As other visitors have stated it's even better than the photos. We were lucky enough to be there on a Thursday morning when the traveling butcher came by in his truck. His name is Mickeal and he was very sweet and had wonderful fresh products. There is also a bakery truck that comes by daily but unfortunately we missed it. There are two excellent restaurants that we tried while there. We took trips to many neighboring towns and when we plugged shortest route into our navigator, found some fascinating sights. We toured the northern part of the Grands Crus wine route, went to the market in Dijon, ate and drank wonderful food and wine. It was absolutely perfect. We would highly recommend this property to all of our friends and relatives. Thank you Jean, for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home away from home. Sincerely, Don and Carol, Delaware USA

Escape to the Beautiful Burgundy Countryside

5 of 5
We came on holiday to Burgundy wanting to get away to a village in the French countryside. La Bulniére is a beautiful estate in the charming medieval village of Mont Saint Jean and was just what we were looking for. The location is central to Burgundy and perfect for day trips to Beaune, Dijon, wine tasting, and touring the region. Jean, the owner, met us when we arrived and made sure that we settled in comfortably. He even delivered some special coffee for us when we were running low. On the first floor the home features a full kitchen with a dining area, a large adjacent living area with tv, a formal dining room and a large, sunny laundry room. There is also a powder room toilet in the central hallway under the stairs. The house also has wireless internet throughout which functions very well. The second floor has 2 master bedrooms with ensuite showers and sinks (no toilets), a powder room toilet in the hall, and 2 smaller bedrooms (one twin and one with 2 bunk beds) which share a large full bath (tub and shower) and toilet. We were just two couples, and so had plenty of room and privacy, but this house would be also great for a family with children. There is a wonderful restaurant right next door, "Les Roches" (check out the great abstract expressionist artwork which is for sale), and another fabulous one in nearby Saulieu, the Michelin rated "Bernard Loiseau." We loved using this beautiful home as a base of operations for our trip to Burgundy. We hit most of the highlights of Dijon and Beaune . . . even shopping the Saturday market in Beaune with a chef, and then preparing and enjoying a gourmet meal. It was wonderful to explore all the historic medieval villages and cathedrals and visit wineries, but it was even better to come home to our own little village, open up some great Burgundy wine, and enjoy the view from our grand estate! I highly recommend this beautiful property.
