Great for a large family trip

4 of 5
We had a great stay in Mas bel Azur. There were 17 of us (10 adults and 7 children under 10). There was plenty of room and people still managed to find a place to relax and read a book in a hammock. The house was in great condition. All the small things really made a difference, like the high chair and cot. The pool fence (which Cloe send a picture of beforehand) and alarm worked as promised. The pool was a little chilly with the wind but still great fun. Lots of pool toys. Local vineyards and shopping in Pertuis was great. Hired a bike from Velo Luberon and they were cheap and very friendly. Aix is closer than we thought and should have gone there more than once. Went to a great soft play in St-Cannat. Would highly recommend it.

LA BELLE VACANCE EN PROVENCE

5 of 5
The photos on the website did not prepare us fully for the beyond-beautiful property that is known as Villa Fontaine. We spent 2 glorious weeks there with close friends and used it as a base for exploring the beauty of Provence. Even though the location is extremely private, our explorations were easy due to the villa's proximity to Aix-en-Provence and other points of interest. Inside and out, the Villa was spectacular. From the outdoor pool house with kitchen to the roof terrace, we were never at a loss for wonderful memories as well as spectacular photo opportunities. The indoor gourmet kitchen was well-equipped and the living area provided all of us with ample space to enjoy each other or to find a private spot for reading or reflecting. The concierge, Erwan, and his lovely wife, Christel, were available always to make us feel welcome, answer our questions, and make suggestions and/or reservations when needed. On the day we arrived, Erwan prepared an excellent French supper for our group. This was a dream vacation for my husband and I. Spending time in Provence with dear friends AND calling Villa Fontaine our home for two weeks, made this holiday truly memorable!!

Great place and location

5 of 5
We stayed here in the summer of 2007. It was 2 couples with a child each. Francis was very helpful both in providing great information on the area and in preparing the house for a young toddler. His gardener checked up on us while we were there to provide local help. The fact that the upstairs and downstairs both had full baths and kitchens seemed to increase the size of the house as it allowed both families to commingle or get our own space at will. There is a very good produce market down the hill and other good markets in town. Lots of vineyards within driving distance. Cassis is known for it's white, but our favorite vineyard was at Domaine Tempier about 45 minutes away as we have been a huge fan of their wine for years. Though we loved eating in town, we found our best times eating meals on the patio followed by extended petanque matches fueled by the local vin. In town you can get fare ranging from Moules Frites and beer at a cafe to very fancy dinners. All over looking the water. I would highly recommend it and plan to stay there again.
