What a lovely home

5 of 5
My husband and I chose Chez Peshi to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. What a wonderful experience. The home was absolutely lovely, well appointed and located in precisely the area we wanted to be in. Everything was spotless, the kitchen was fabulous, it had everything you could possible need. It was so great to be able to come home and enjoy the backyard then later the fireplace. The wireless service was a plus. The owners left this great guide book, had all the information about the house and the area you could ever need. We tried some of the recommended hikes and restaurants and they were spot on. The nearby town of Nolay had a great grocery store that had every thing we needed. We enjoyed glasses of wine in a quaint little bar on the medieval square in the village and bread everyday from the local patisserie. The surrounding area was absolutely gorgeous. Everyday was a new adventure in a different charming little village. The food and wine in that area was fabulous. We went to the farmers market in Beaune one morning and got wonderful cheeses and artisan sausages. We couldn't have chosen a better vacation spot. Thank you Pete and Shirlene!

Amazing stay at Chateau des Barrigards

5 of 5
The pictures do not lie. There are some beautiful antiques, silk draperies, top of the line appliances, large en suite bathrooms with tub and separate shower. There are two bedrooms on the 2nd floor and one on the 3rd. Each one is very private. We stayed on the 3rd floor. The decorating was perfect, oh that blue and white bathroom, gorgeous, and the view from our windows! Vineyards as far as the eye can see. Great to sit outside at the table for any meal, with wonderful conversation among good friends. Wifi is excellent. Easy to get into Beaune, also a short trip to what became one of the group's (3 couples) favorites, Nuit St George. Great lunch, al fresco, then a wine tasting in a local cellar. Returned another day to the same bistro for lunch again. Arnaud was always available by phone or email, (as was Pascal, the caretaker). He gave us a tour of the winery and we did enjoy the wine. How fabulous to drink the wine where it is produced. We have great memories. We've already recommended it to a friend. Susie L

A Wonderful Place to Stay in the heart of Burgundy!

5 of 5
We stayed here in mid-April, 2012 (the date of arrival we submited to this site's calendar is incorrect) and we cannot recommend the Gite Au Domaine Chandon De Briailles enough! Not far off the RN 74, its location is central to the Cote d'Or and Florence and François are delightful hosts: very attentive and engaged. And if you have any interest in the wine and food of Burgundy, Florence and François can be an invaluable resource in these matters, too. (Not the least because the organic/bio-dynamic wines made by this estate are immensely delicious.) - The listing description of this property is very accurate. - The photos of his property are very accurate. (Yes this place *IS* this beautiful.) - The property is very clean and well maintained and includes a full kitchen and a great clothes washer and dryer. - The owners are very helpful in answering questions/concerns. - We recommend this property to friends, relatives, and to people like you who we don't even know. :) - Centrally located in the heart of the Cote d'Or vineyards, near the walled, medieval town of Beaune (and its rail stop), and within a very drive-able distance of the cultural capital of Dijon (to the North) and of historic Cluny (to the South). Il est merveilleux!
