This apartment is an excellent selection. The furniture has the look of the refined 18th century Parisian desks and tables that were used in palaces (no exaggeration), just completely beautiful. The furniture alone is reason enough to stay here, however the spaciousness and location of the apartment (a 5 minutes walk from the Ave. Champ-Elysses) make it a really easy decision. The area is also extremely quiet, and once inside, the thick walls of the apartment shield any residual noise coming from neighboring rooms. The views of the courtyard from each window and the French panels on the walls are gorgeous as well. I think from a practical standpoint, the greatest advantage of this apartment over others is that a landline is included in the cost of the apartment, and it can make calls anywhere in France and internationally to the United States and Canada for free (incoming and outgoing). I have never come across this in any apartment I have rented, it is truly rare and incredibly cost-saving and convenient.
On top of all of this, you cannot ask for a better landlord than Robert, especially if you are new to Paris and have no idea what you're doing. He will guide you around the area and answer any little question you have during your stay, always available for a quick response by phone or email. Overall, a great experience and a pleasant stay. I'll be sad to depart.
