Recent 8th Arrondissement Champs Elysees Reviews

muy buena ubicación.

4 of 5

Paris is always a good idea!

5 of 5
Hi David, Everything was absolutely incredible! Your apartment is beautiful, and it was more than perfect for our family, we did not want to leave ;(. Our son Sebastian would fall asleep on your gorgeous couch every night looking through the skylight at the moon, before being carried off to bed. While our daughter Isabella enjoyed the luxury of the oversized bath tub with the view of the sparking Eiffel Tower. They have been truly spoiled! For anyone considering this rental , it will surpass your expectations. When we arrived we were greeted outside by the apartment manager who showed us around the penthouse and explained how to use the TV, stereo, coffee machine, sound system, showers, washing machine etc....there was every amenity and then some. We were left with juice and milk in our fridge as well as champagne chilling in the wine fridge. There was treats and a fruit basket on the kitchen table. There was also an abundance of towels and even an extra blaket. An elevator is available to the top floor, but my children enjoyed racing down the spiral staircase. The location is beside the presidential palace and across from the Bristol Hotel, surrounded by luxurious boutiques and Art Galleries. We felt very safe. Within walking distance or if you prefer a short can ride to some monuments and points of interest. We will be saving our pennies to return again soon! Sabrina and Marcel (Toronto, Canada)

Convenient in so many ways

5 of 5
1) Take the Air France (Les Car) shuttle/bus if you can. They only have two stops. The Arch is the 2nd stop. And it seriously drops you off 2 minutes from the apartment. You can also take it back to the airport when you leave. You can buy the ticket straight from the driver the day of departure. 2) the apartment is very secure. You need an electronic key to enter the building. You will need to use it twice before you even get to the actual apartment. The area is very safe. We walked around at night many nights. 3) the apartment is very cozy. Leo showed us where everything was inside the apartment and how everything worked. He also let us know where we could load up on provisions - a very quaint row of shoppes a few minutes walk, that sold everything from fresh bread to seafood. I highly recommend stocking up. Our first day there, we loaded up on coffee (fresh ground at the coffee beanery), baguettes, cheeses, fresh fruit and of course wine. The proprietor of the wine shop was very helpful. In fact, everyone was very pleasant and they all spoke some English. We even picked up some flowers to give it that homey feeling. (Leo: one suggestion - a vase?) I used a coffee mug. It was great to wake up to fresh coffee every morning as we got ready before we walked across the street to the boulangerie for espresso and a chocolate croissant. It was equally enjoyable to come back to the apartment to a nice glass of wine while we relaxed and got ready for dinner. 4) The subway station was also a 2 minute walk. We used it every day. I recommend just buying a Carnet rather than the day passes. The Carnets come 10 tickets at a time and you can use them whenever you please. No expiration like the passes have. If we needed more, we just bought another set. 5) and for those of you interested in shopping - the champs élysées was only a few blocks walk from the apartment. I took advantage of the Vat tax refund. We loved Paris and our vacation was made that much better because of our lodging. Thank you Leo and Philippe. We would definitely stay here again. One last note: we packed light because we knew we were going to take advantage of the washing machine in the apartment. We did laundry twice and were even able to take clean clothes home. I recommend September. The weather was glorious! Many days, not a cloud in the sky.
