My husband and I rented this apartment from David for almost three weeks. The location is fantastic - very central, across from the Louvre and 5 minutes from the D'Orsay Musee, on the Seine, yet very safe, secure and quiet and overlooking a lovely courtyard. What I loved was that the apartment had everything we needed: separate bedroom with a huge walk-in closet, living room/kitchen, washer-drier for clothes, stove, microwave, toaster, fridge, tv, internet with free wifi, even dishwasher and TWO coffee machines (regular and Nespresso). I like not having to be forced to go out for every meal and my morning coffee, so this was ideal as lovely grocery shopping was available with several blocks. The apartment was kept very clean by the twice a week housekeeping service. a lovely bottle of wine and cookies awaited us upon arrival, where David promptly met with my husband to give him the keys and other information. David was very helpful when I left too, arranging for a taxi to the airport for me (something hotels usually do so I was a bit at a loss to do myself) and the housekeeper arrived early and helped me get my luggage to the street (I gave her a small tip as i don't think this was her responsibility but she did it gladly.) Our deposit was returned immediately upon our departure. All for half the price of a small hotel room! In summary, a great experience and I highly recommend this apartment, and hope to stay there again.

A True Home in the Luxurious 7th Arrondissement

5 of 5
My sister-in-law and I took our daughters to Paris this summer for a two-week graduation celebration trip and had the great pleasure of staying in this apartment. This was my 7th rental experience in Paris and by far the best. The apartment is spacious and beautifully decorated and maintained; the bathrooms rival those in fine hotels and the kitchen appears to be very recently remodeled. All of the beds were very comfortable (we used the den as a bedroom) and there is a huge amount of storage space, so we were able to put away our suitcases and our clothing. The location can't be beat; a boulangerie/patisserie is located just downstairs and the fabulous cafés, restaurants, and attractions of the 7th arrondissement are just minutes away. The convenient École Militaire metro stop is 5 minutes from the apartment; located on line 8, this stop connects with the major lines and makes traveling through Paris very easy. I've had small disappointments with every Parisian apartment that I've previously rented; either the space was tight, or the location not so great, or the apartment not in great condition but this apartment truly has it all. After long hot days of walking throughout the city we loved coming home to our comfortable and spacious refuge, and I felt more at home in Paris than I ever had before. David, the apartment manager, was one of the biggest reasons that we had such a great experience; he met us promptly as we arrived from the airport, worked behind the scenes to make sure the apartment was in perfect condition when we checked in, and responded quickly to my texts when I had questions. I cannot recommend this apartment enough; yes, it is a little pricier than other apartments you might find, but considering the space, the quality, and the location, I think this apartment is a very good value, indeed.

Pretty, cozy, and convenient

My father, sister, and I stayed in the apartment in November 2009 and found it to be delightful. The pictures are exactly what the apartment looks like, but for people who aren't used to Parisian (or New York) apartments, you might imagine it is larger than it actually is. It was a little tight for three adults (but we're on the large side - the smallest of us is 5' 10") but not uncomfortable in the slightest. I could see it being perfect for a couple, a couple with a child (or two smaller ones) or 2-3 friends. The stairs - 4 flights, are only an issue if you are mobility impaired (there is no elevator). My father, 65, pleasantly plump and sporting an artifical hip, never complained. Now, my sister and I did whine a bit when we carried our luggage up the first day, but the rest of the time it just helped me burn off the cheese and wine calories. The owners really have thought of everything: travel books, umbrellas, shower cap, ironing board, even spices. Every time I thought "oh darn, I didn't remember to bring X," I looked around and found it already provided for me. The beds are comfortable, the water is hot and has good pressure, the building is quiet. It's really perfect - especially if you don't plan to eat every meal in a restaurant. The neighborhood is charming and very safe, with a 2-minute walk to Rue Cler (fantastic cheese and wine shops, yummy crepes and on market day - fantastic people watching and browsing) and a few minutes more to the Metro and restaurants that stay open pretty late. There is a great little health-food store near the Metro stop, which had gluten-free food (important for many these days) and a great Italian deli between the Metro stop and the Seine for a quick picnic dinner (if you ever decide to eat something other than French food. :) The owners refunded my security deposit very promptly and the entire thing went without a hitch. The owner's representative was very friendly and accomodating as far as when to meet us when we arrived. Overall, I highly recommend it over a hotel and plan to stay there again soon.
