We rented this neat apartment for two weeks over the holidays. Our first time in Paris, and this cozy flat became a great little home for us. Our host David, answered lots of questions with maps and suggested destination before we left home which was a great help in planning our stay. David made dinner reservations for our first evening, and arranged for credit card taxi upon our departure. When we arrived we were met by David’s wife who showed us how to access the apartment and gave us contact information. The apartment was clean and has lots of storage space in the big closet, very nice bathroom with towel warmer, and a flat screen TV. There was a welcome bottle of wine, with cookies, tea and coffee. On day two, she stopped by with flowers to make sure everything was okay. The Wi-Fi worked well. Another great advantage over a hotel was the housekeeper stopped by in the afternoon instead of first thing in the morning, which was great for sleeping in.
The location was perfect! Walk out the door of the building and there was the Louvre! A few minutes walk to Eric Kayser for fresh a croissant, bagel, or cookie each morning. An ATM and a Monoprix store were very convenient. Rue du Bac and Louvre Metro stops, as well as France Tourisme were also close by. The washer/dryer allowed us to pack a few less clothes. We loved the radiant heat vs. the forced air heating we have at home. Overall we had a wonderful experience and will certainly consider staying here again if we get back to Paris.
