A Parisian Gem in the Latin Quarter

5 of 5
What a wonderful apartment in the heart of Paris! We loved the views and sounds from the very large terrace every evening after our daily explorations of the city. Very relaxing to enjoy a glass of wine and listen to the bells of Notre Dame, and you can see the Eiffel Tower from there as well. The king-sized bed was super comfortable, kitchen amenities very generous (thank you for the coffees!), and the place was very clean. We met Malin the morning we arrived; she was busy cleaning the apt. but showed us everything we needed to know and gave us the keys. She was very helpful, and Aurelien was very responsive by e-mail for any questions or concerns we may have had. There is a Franprix market right next door for any grocery needs and a huge variety of restaurants right at your doorstep. The St. Michel metro and RER station is right around the corner as well as a taxi stand, which is helpful for getting around the city although we probably walked around 5 miles a day sight-seeing anyway. Would I recommend this apartment to a friend or relative? Absolutely! But, as others have mentioned, it is a walk up (no elevator) so it really gets your heart pumping, and the steps up to the terrace require some balance and care. My husband is 57 and I am 60, my sister is 65, and we had no problems going up and down the steps but we were very careful and mindful of the consequences of a mis--step. Other than that I would have no reservations recommending this rental. It really was fun to stay there!

Beautiful Apartment with everything you need

5 of 5
This apartment has everything you need for long or short stay. Antoine is fantastic and so helpful, polite and understanding. Merci beacoup Antoine !! :) The apartment is so neatly presented.Things like the iron and hairdryer and ironing board. ( not that I used it it's a holiday) are all very cleverly hidden in the drawers and cupboards. Even the book instructions for the washing machine is there, just in case you have never used a front loader. Like me. Plenty of extra blankets in the cupboard if you need to be more snug, but when I was there the temperature outside was around 3°C-7°C ( sometimes raining) and the heaters/radiators were completely sufficient. I didn't use any extra blankets and I was warm all night. Every appliance you could need in the Kitchen. Plus heap of pots and cooking utensils. Dish washer and fridge all in a very neat modern integrated kitchen. So easy to use and keep clean. Any food you can think to eat is in walking distance. In the same street! You could find yourself not even needing to leave Rue St Séverin itself you will still have a lot of choice. The fast food/ kebab shops are good, There is also beautiful church in the same street from around the 11th century The Church of Saint-Séverin. You can pretend you live Paris in this lovely Apartment. So enjoy. Go to the local food shops and experience living like a local. Because the apartment is so easy to get to. If you get tired when you're out and about you can come home make a cup of coffee or tea, freshen up and head out again. It's wonderful like having a home away from home. Easy to walking. Get a map and enjoy! I was travelling by myself, but the apartment is perfect for a couple, or two people, or three that don't mind sleeping in the same room, and of course Parents with children. If you are early risers you mightn't get much sleep as it is a lively area especially on weekends, but you can sleep in as it's very quite in the late morning. Depends on why you are in Paris? Also easy to get to from the airport if you choose the train. ( RER B blue line from CDG to St Michel/Nôtre Dame) Easy to get anywhere in Paris on the Metro or RER. Also just around the corner is the bus stop for Paris hop on and hop off and also along the Bridge ( Pont) across from Notre Dame Cathedral. there are a four different routes that you can swap on and off. This apartment is fantastic and value. Please look after it. Antoine has done a great job. :)
