BEAUTIFULLY RENOVATED APARTMENT, CENTRAL LOCATION

5 of 5
We stayed in the Rue de Poissy apartment for 5 days. We were two couples over 55 years old. The apartment is spacious and the bedrooms are separated by the living room so it kind of gives a hotel feel as far as privacy is concerned. The location close to the Metro Cardinal Lemoine where there is a farmer’s market a few days a week. The apartment itself is quiet at night and beds are big and comfortable. Everything is brand new from the furniture to the paint so it really feels fresh. We appreciated having an elevator as our legs were tired from walking all day. Wonderful stay!

LARGE FAMILY APARTMENT IN EXCELLENT LOCATION

5 of 5
The location of this apartment is perfect- just off a busy street so you're close enough to everything yet the apartment itself is private and quiet. We were able to walk nearly everywhere and when we were going a little farther away, there was Place Monge Metro a few hundred meters from the apartment (on a side note, the Place Monge market is a must-do!). Boulangeries, restaurants, shops, grocery store were all available within two minutes of walking. I would highly recommend staying in the rue Lacépède apartment to anyone. The apartment itself was great! The rooms were clean and spacious. All the amenities one needs while staying with a family were available there. The kitchen was clean very quite large compared to a typical French kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the linens crisp and clean. The dining table is huge and proved to be a great place to gather to share laughs and stories at the end of the day. There is also a long balcony off the dining and living areas which is fun to see what is happening outside. Wifi is free, which was also incredibly helpful. Thanks so much, Johan!

OUR PARIS HOME

4 of 5
Like many of the other reviewers of this apartment, there were lots of terrific things about it, but also a few not so great things to consider. Working with Johan and others at his company is easy to do and they are very responsive during planning and upon arrival. When we arrived, we were only given one set of keys and were told that there would be a 500 Euro charge if the keys were lost. This made it difficult to split our group up during our stay but on the second to last day we actually came upon an extra set of keys on top of the fridge. The keys are a challenge to work in some of the doors with three separate locked doors and a coded entry. The second to last night, another tenant broke off a key in one of the locks and our son got locked out. Another tenant arrived home just in time to let him in and told him that you can also enter through the courtyard if the lock/door is broken. Since our son did not have a phone to call us down from upstairs this created a little panic, so please try both entries when you arrive. The apartment itself is beautiful and you will absolutely love the terrace. We sat out there every evening for a drink and some cheese/charcueterie before going out. We only had one towel per person - I think a few extra towels would have been nice. PLEASE NOTE - especially if you are American, other reviewers said there is a dryer but what they mean is a DRYING RACK. We were on a long trip and I booked this flat partially because I could do wash. You will have to hang everything up to dry so be prepared. The apartment is also not air conditioned - we had some very hot weather when we are there and there are no fans at all. This would not have been a problem but we found the street to be very noisy. I am very surprised that other reviewers said it wasn't noisy but maybe they were there with closed windows. People were at the nearby restaurants and groceries until the wee hours of the morning and every word they said traveled clearly and loudly into the apartment. Because of this, even though this place is so beautiful, I would hesitate to rent it again in the summer months. We loved the terrace so much but really did not sleep well on those hot nights. As others have said, the location can't be beat. One block to the Metro and nearby are tons of restaurants and cheese shops and patisseries, etc. You can walk in just minutes to Notre Dame & the Latin Quarter. So, don't hesitate to rent it but bring earplugs!
