So many others have said it already...it's ideal

5 of 5
My wife and I found this apartment to be everything we were looking for...and then some. It was clean, comfortable, well-appointed, quiet and convenient to the Metro and to restaurants and food stores. One Metro station was a 3-minute walk, and another Metro station (on a different line) was about a 12-minute walk. There was a supermarket nearby (3 min.), a boulangerie-patisserie (3 min.) and a number of delis and discount stores within about a 5-min. walk). The apartment is especially quiet, even though it is on the ground floor; it faces on a small interior courtyard so there is no street noise. It comes with a full range of modern conveniences, and even has a manual with detailed instructions on how to operate each appliance/device. We certainly plan to recommend this apartment to anyone planning on visiting Paris, and we would not even consider going anywhere else for our next trip.

Beautiful apartment in unbelievable location!

We stayed five nights in late September. The pictures do not do this place justice. All of the windows/doors open to the street, including those in the guest bedroom, and we would spend hours with a few bottles of wine just watching the sights and sounds of Paris. Not to mention the view of the Arc de Triomphe. If the view and location weren't enough, the apartment itself is updated with nice beds, great showers, a modern kitchen with a Nespresso machine, and a washer/dryer. It truly felt like home and, quite honestly, we didn't want to leave. Two couples and there was plenty of room. You will hear street noise, and the proprietor of the restaurant below likes to pressure wash early in the morning and move the outside chairs around, but you'll get used to it. If I ever make it back to Paris, there is no question I'll do my best to stay here.

“When Good Americans Die, They Go to Paris.” Oscar Wilde

We stayed at this beautiful hideaway in the heart of the 16th arr. for an all too brief 8 days. Our arrival was warmly welcomed by the caretaker, Mona and her assistant, Winston, who greeted us with a delicious selection of cheese and fruit from the local market, and prepared each of the rooms with a bouquet of bright crimson roses; a perfect color to contrast with the white on white decor of the townhouse. My husband, teenage daughter and I fit comfortably in the home, with plenty of space for privacy. The guest bath off the kitchen allowed for the master bath to remain free from our daughter's clutter. Plus, the airy and roomy first floor had plenty of space for her massive luggage from a 6-week journey. We began each day with fresh croissant, pain au chocolate & custard from the corner patisserie and we brewed coffee from the well stocked and appointed kitchen. Every night we ate at one of the local restaurants, except for one night when we "became Parisian" and cooked at home. The selection of local places to eat is excellent. We became regulars at one place in particular, Da Enzo, where the Italian fare was simple and delicious. Finding things to do in Paris is never difficult, but the townhouse's impressive collection of books on Paris, French History and Art Deco design temps one to stay put and get lost in the reading, rather than in the nearby Auteuil, where there is some of the most renown examples of Art Nouveau buildings. Our visit to Paris was made so much better because of this townhouse; its accessibility, security, charm, warmth, size and beautiful design, it was difficult to leave; it was to "die for".
