Our stay in this apartment was quite comfortable and it was conveniently located to explore Paris. The one-way side street on which the apartment is located, Rue Rouelle, provided a quiet space where we could sit on the little balcony, overlooking chestnut trees in blossom, and enjoy the spring air. The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated. The bright bedroom also had a door with access to the balcony, and one could use the room-darkening blinds on the large window if desired. The kitchen was nicely equipped for simple meals, and the bathroom was large and bright. It's a very secure building as well. There is even a beautiful interior garden area that is just behind the lobby.
We used the Metro all week to get around the city, and there are nearby stations to access the Metro lines 6 and 10. We got a Navigo Découverte pass (we brought small photos to use on it) and we zipped through turnstiles all week.
There are many boulangeries to choose from in the neighborhood for a daily baguette purchase. Be sure to check out the Wed. and Sun. morning market nearby that is set up under the line 6 Metro along Boulevard de Grenelle -- the variety and quality of the produce, fruit, meat and fish sellers, cheese stalls, and florists are stunning and beautiful to look at (as well as eat!)
Marie met us at the apartment the first morning and showed us around. Patricia, the owner, was very pleasant and responsive to all our questions about our stay. We would recommend this apartment as a wonderful place to stay while exploring the fascinating city of Paris.
