Perfect Keys Tropical Oasis

5 of 5
5 Star Rental! Cottage was adorable, super clean and private. The description and photographs of the property were exactly as described, absolutely no surprises. Kitchen was well stocked with pans, dishes, utensils etc. Grounds are beautiful! Nice layout with area’s for sunning and shade and use of their kayaks! Most importantly, don’t forget to find out when the sun is suppose to set as you will want to go out to their private beach and docks and enjoy this amazing sight! Bonnie and Bill were wonderful hosts, down to earth, very accommodating and just plain nice decent people. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place to vacation don’t hesitate to book. This rental would be great for couples or families with young children, plenty of space for kids to play, lots of local wildlife on land and in the sea, fishing from the dock, snorkeling from the beach and a washer and dryer so you don’t have to pack much. Definitely a place I would recommend to my friends and family, I almost hate leaving this 5 star review…I’m afraid that it will be booked the next time we travel to the Keys but Bonnie and Bill are so deserving for sharing their piece of paradise with us.

Wonderful accomodations!

5 of 5
As soon as we arrived at the marina we were greeted by the property manager who lives aboard the boat in the next slip. He showed us around the sailboat and the marina. Everything aboard was perfect and there was enough room for myself and my three daughters. My 17 and 15 year old girls took the forward berth and my 13 year old and I took the berths in the bow. When we did not eat at any of the many restaurants nearby we used the gas grill under the tiki hut. The showers at the marina were always available when we needed them, and another great bonus is the ice machine near the men's restroom! After getting settled in on Monday we made the short drive to Islamorada to feed the tarpon at Robbie's marina. We snorkeled Alligator Reef lighthouse, went to Sombrero Beach and also spent a day at Bahia Honda State park where we enjoyed kayaking and one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. The snorkeling from shore was also pretty decent, I saw a stingray, crabs, and numerous small fish. Harry Harris park also has a nice beach and also you can swim and snorkel from shore there too. Be sure to check out Library Beach where the locals hang out behind the library, and you will want to spend some time at Anne's Beach. On Wed. after spending all day at Bahia Honda we drove to Key West and did the sunset cruise on the Fury catamaran. Live music, good food' and margaritas were abundant, so I'm glad that my 17 year old has her drivers licence. 4 days in the Keys is not enough time so we're saving up our allowances to come back next spring break. We decided to do this trip at the last minute and of all the inquiries I made the owners of the Northern Cross were the quickest to reply. They stayed in touch with me before, during, and after our stay. Great service, great sailboat, great marina, and great location made for a super great vacation. If you like a peaceful and quiet place to relax after racing around all over the Keys having fun then you need to live on board this 42' sailboat!

TIKI HUT PLEASANT SURPRISE

5 of 5
We had a marvelous experience at the TIKI HUT. In booking the facility Bonnie was very helpful and honest in handling the currency issues created in transferring Canadian funds to her account. The site was exactly as described in the property view. The facilities were very clean, and well stocked with cooking and bathroom supplies(Towels etc).A washer and dryer were also available in the unit for use The overall facilities were well maintained and groomed with lots of palm trees and clean sand by the ocean. A Tiki hut outside the unit was a great asset for relaxing and watching the local wildlife ( land crabs, birds, squirrels, geckos etc) Another Tiki hut and lounging chairs were also available at the beach for common use when soaking up the sun. There are three units on the property but you would hardly know it as they are spaced well apart and landscaping provided great privacy. Recommended restaurants and attractions are listed in an information booklet in the unit(well done). There is a great Wynn Dixie close by for any food beverage or other supplies required. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating through out our stay and we would definitely recommend this property rental if you want a central location in the Keys to explore the whole Key area. We would like to thank Bill and Bonnie for making our Florida vacation a great success!
