              Great Family Vacation

              4 of 5
We had multiple families (8 adults & 3 kids under the age of 6) staying in the house and there was plenty of room for all of us. The house was spacious and well-maintained. We did have a couple of maintenance requests (cracked toilet seat & doors that didn't latch) and those were not fixed while we were there so hopefully they have been repaired since then. A couple of things that I wish I had been aware of about the house was the awful amount of mosquitoes. My family is especially prone to mosquitoes loving us and we pretty much had to make a quick dash from the car to the house just to avoid being eaten alive. If we knew that we were going to be outside for more than a couple minutes, we coped by using bug repellent. The only inside access from the first floor to the second floor was a very narrow & steep spiral staircase. Being pregnant, I just ended up using the outside stairs & I tried to limit my kids using those stairs as much as possible. The safety gate at the top didn't actually latch so it wouldn't have prevented any kids from tumbling down them. It was a good 10-15 minute drive to find a more populated area. My kids loved the toys, cards, and games at the house! The kayaks for the canal were great! Overall, the owners were very friendly and easy to do business with.
