Nice comfortable home away from home. Recommend!!

5 of 5
I travel with two small dogs, we stayed at this bungalow two years in a row. First time was in 2013. It is very clean and comfortable. The owner is very helpful, especially when I needed to turn on the heat last year. The kitchen has all necessary items to prepare meals at home. Boyd Hill park is a short walk away, so is the beautiful lake that makes evening walks a pleasure with spectacular sunsets. I could easily ride my bike downtown to eat and sight see, also ride south to Pinnellas Point to a nice park on the water. There is a nice dog park just a few blocks away, along with tennis courts and playground. Not too far from the beach either. I was planning on renting for 2016 but had to change my plans and the manager was agreeable to return my deposit. I would highly recommend this bungalow for a great time getaway. Patti & Pups

A wonderful house and location!

4 of 5
This is an impressive house, with a spectacular sunset view over the widest part of Boca Ciega Bay! It's also very conveniently located to 275 making it quick and easy to move around the area. It's about half way between downtown St. Petersburg and St. Pete Beach, so we were able to enjoy the best of both. Don't miss Marzano's Italian Market on N. 22nd Ave., worth the drive if you like to cook! We also enjoyed the proximity to Gulfport, an artsy, Old Florida waterfront town with a nice selection of restaurants to choose from. The house itself had plenty of space for our extended family of 9 people. It is not a good house for anyone with difficulty climbing steps. The owner was planning on doing some renovations, which were planned for the fall of 2013, and if done well, this could really elevate this from a nice house, needing some attention, to a fantastic property! There were some housekeeping issues which the owner was also concerned about and he has said that he has since hired a professional cleaning company, so those issues should be taken care of. The owner approved our making some purchases that were needed for the house, and after some missed communications due to a change of email address, he did follow up in reimbursing me for those items. You will absolutely enjoy staying at this home, I know we did! I'm looking forward to seeing the new pictures, post renovation!

Loved every second

5 of 5
Wouldn't it be wonderful if you had old friends who owned a house in St.Petersburg, and their house offered a dazzling view of sunrise over Tampa Bay, and the interior was some near-perfect combination of immaculate, classy and comfortable, with a terrific kitchen and bathrooms? And the house was in an interesting, eclectic, quiet neighborhood with tropical flora and palm trees and banana trees and incredible banyan trees that make you wish you were young enough to climb? And your friends were willing to let you use the house whenever you wanted, and they thoughtfully provide a veritable guidebook with tips on restaurants and museums and beaches to help ensure that every day of your vacation went well? Yeah, that's this house. The home is clean and cool, but not fussy -- it was just as the pictures here suggest. The view of the bay from the front windows is striking first thing in the morning, pleasant all day long. The kitchen is a pleasure to use, but the variety of restaurants within 5 minutes of the house means you never have to cook if you don't want to. And best of all, the owners, though you've never met them, treat you as if you are old friends, and that an enjoyable time in their home is as important to them as it is to you. We spent parts of most days at beaches, running and walking, collecting and gazing. All of the traditional Florida tourist options are there if you want them, but on our getaway, relaxation was the key component, and this place worked perfectly. Honestly, other than not wanting to be in a hotel, my wife and I weren't all that sure what we were looking for when we rented this house. Turns out this house was exactly what we wanted. We're glad we found it.
